Paul, if mounting an aio cooler on top and exhausting air out, would I still need the dust filter? Or is that more appropriate for air intake, or just keeping dust out in general?

Thanks for this video. Last week I connected my gigabyte 7800xt and noticed the blinking logo.

I thought I had a bad card or that I had not plugged the power cables in all the way. Seeing your card do the same thing put me at ease.

Everyone make sure to check retailers like MicroCenter for Bundle deals. They sell things at a loss to get people in the door and hopefully buy a gpu or something.
For example I just spend 1300 after tax on basically this same exact build except with a Ryzen 7 7700x and a better PSU, case included in the price as well.
400 bucks at Microcenter can get you DDR5 Mobo with 32gb 6000 ddr5 along with either a i9-12900k or Ryzen 7 7700x. I went with the Ryzen even though the intel is a little better overall. The ryzen is better for gaming in PBO, less power, and most importantly it being AM5 future proofs me a bit for CPU compared to the intel option. Happy building and good luck finding deals!

Wow the prices of pc parts in Australia I did the closest I could get to your $1215 build at my local shop and it was $2250

yes finally!!! cheeeeeeeeeers!!!! im finally putting otgether my higher end build as an enthusiest, but its only my second build and its been 5 years. honestly i know EXACTLY what i need and how long ill need it before im willing tyo fully rebuild the system from base on the new platforms, and honestly for the price and the power im getting out on my 7900xt im sticking with best of AM4. i just cant be bothered to learn or use or risk my stress levels with the AM5 platform even tho its matured. ill build a new system again in 3 years and either use the next iteration of ir ot AM6 by then~ which is good~ theres a tonnnnnnnnnnn of life to live and performance i should want so that i cna enjoy the next 3 years but i genuinly just dont think im going to care since im not packing a 4090 and i dont necessarily plan to build AM4 without a strix b550 mobo and 5800x3d so i can slap a bit better gpu if anytthing in the next gen in 2 years catches my eyes, and i still have my backup rig that coudl be retired, upgraded, or repalcved at any time in the next 3 years, I CANT WIAT!!! i have too much disposable income XDXDXDXDXD cheeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeers
NOTE: prime reason id rather build AM4 is cause of the value and maturity and everything "solved". AMD is supporting AM5 "til latleast 2025" and i don t plan to upgrade or build anything ever until atleast 2026, so by then i either build fresh in AM6 or i buy best of the best for a solved AM5~ ik i might be giving up 15%~ performance overall for similar prices but i already have a 5800x3d and its worth the sunk cost hahahaha~ plus if i ever do upgrade, itll be to enter the prime 4k gaming market in 2025 if we all survive till then XD. wiull be iwld cheeeeeeeeeeeeeers

I'm planning to build a pc like that but I'm not sur what monitor I should take. Should I go for 4k. This build can take it but I'm not sure.

You can buy the best and in 6 mo it will be worthless to a competitive game player. Why put yourself between multiple Corporations that don't care about you only your money. I learned how to build computers from Paul. My builds will be my last .
