Alyx's model actually does have this animation in 2003 leak and it's used as one of the randomly picked idle animations.

I believe these poses were used at E3 for the game. Something to note is that the shadertest models for Alyx are also based off of her earlier design in 2001/2002

I'm glad that Alyx isnt over sexualized in retail. Not that sexy characters are bad ofc, but it just wouldn't fit into Hl2's more grounded and serious tone. Alyx is still cute, and she clearly like to show off a bit with her exposed midriff, but she looks normal, like someone you could see on the street.

One thing you didn't mention is that alyx model in shadertest is called Predator.mdl in reference to the movie predator since the model is translucent. the model also uses the early version of alyx in the strange skin-tight jumpsuit
