To me it's quite an hypnotic , well balanced song. Perhaps it's just me but the song is good against stress and anxiety , even more when listened a few times in a row.

for what it's worth, that horn lick has appeared in a thousand old cartoons (basically from the Forties on up) too, and bedroom recordings have been around for decades -- ask Lou Barlow, the other members of Dinosaur Jr., Beck.or (later) Cody Chesnutt -- and those are just the first names off the top of my head.

This came out when I was in my early 20’s and I absolutely adored it and the whole “Women In Technology” album. My personal favorite is “Thursday At The Blue Note.”

Holy shit, the instrumentation to this is Havana - if Havana was decent. Like, not the progression (that's ripped directly from Smooth lol), but the sound, the accentuation of the piano, and just the overall vibe. That's how timeless this song is. It would fit right in with the hottest pop of the last 5 years with nobody blinking an eye.
