Quest 1 Owner checking in. As long as we still get to play it local, I am good to go.

Crossversion multiplayer is a complicated thing to implement. I don't think there's that many modders on quest 1 for there to be a cross-version multiplayer mod, (especially because you would need servers to coordinate everything)

People don't understand that if they can pull this off on the Q1 with nobody complaining, they can keep removing games in the future for the Q2... and keep going. If you buy a game, you should be able to play it your entire life, not for a couple of years.

I think you'd be surprised how many Q1 owners there still are out there. For me the Q2 IPD was too small and I do love the OLED.

Wow so happy that the support of the quest 1 has been so great 5 years for a headset that cost only €500 .
I understand that new games are not coming anymore 👍.

I think it's time to make quest 1 realy standalone so no online activation requirements are needed to use it in the future.
And the developer mode exceseble for anyone so its not becoming E-waste after only 6 years

I have a q2 but I actually use my q1 still to use outside my house.
never cared about beat saber, I am a synth rider's person, and SR works fine along with pistol whip on the q1 if you don't care about MP.
Meta should give us root on the q1 so we can mod it when they fully drop it.

finally beat saber got crossbuy. I've always had a ready PCVR PC but I bought it on Quest and now I can see Beatsaber on max graphics. if someone is worried why cant see beet saber in your quest link library you need to go to store and download it for free

I'm so glad that they made it crossbuy. It was about time. My quest 2 cake with a beat saber redeem code so now I technically have free pcvr beat saber

I have three versions of Beat Saber: the Steam version, Oculus and stand alone. Paid for all of them. The good thing about the Oculus version was that songs purchased on my Quest were already crossbuy and the Oculus version (like the Steam version) has an extra folder for custom songs. The Oculus version has the best of both worlds.

Yes it will still be "supported" but I dont think that means future games will continue to be on there for much longer though. Just cause it'll still be supported doesnt mean devs will port it to the Q2

meta makes money from software and the player base for quest 2 is still bigger than the quest 3. Why would they cut off future sales??

Well I have a Quest 3, but thanks for the info that the Quest 2 is not going away and still be supported. But will new games still be developed and steered more toward the Quest 3 only??
I guess time shall tell what kind of support the Quest 2 will continue to receive.

it's horrible. 😢
i mean - soft is.
- it's have poor UX/UI functionality.....
- alot of ecosystem problems, browser and multi windows usability.
- weak wireless connection.....
- weak gesture traction (fk joysticks).

so, it's unavailable to use normally

It would be nice to have something like that so you can look at your vehicle while you're repairing it and see where everything goes and not have to worry about putting something in the wrong spot just another level to repair and maintenance not excluding the fact that it is very nice to be able to see a fully built truck from the ground up or car versus just looking at the car

i still use my quest 1 for everything. i love my OLED screens. i also play beat saber alot. i dont really multiplayer on it though... as long as i can still play and download my purchases. at least until i can actually purchase an upgrade.

As long as you can still play, Beat Saber is fine. If you can't play new music fine. Issue is what is stopping them from forcing consumers to buy a quest 3. I mainly game on pc, so i dont want to buy as many games in the quest platform. They can take away your products.

Crossbuy is huge, because people who own the steam version can still download the oculus version. Essentially giving you a modded copy, and a vinilla copy, without having to fight your mods everytime you want to switch between the two. Now I can enjoy all my bought packs on my quest and still play mods!
