well I bought the product UR22C but never read instruction before that were so confusing and missleading. It seems Steinberg does not know at all to make a simple download - put in your activating coed and start to use the product. Have you ever read the comment??? Then you should sit down and simplify it before you do anything else. I am thinking of selling the interface and find an other product. Worst experience I ever had....

So frustraiting! When you do all that stuff and cubase is still halfway there. Its a mess. Why this is so complicated?

Your software installer process is a joke. The eLicense software won’t download the license - error “software too old” try up date the eLC and errors again “eLC software too old” makes the products unusable.

If their goal is to lose customers, they're truly achieving it. They're extending the shelf life of that goal.

The most frustrating experience. And Steinberg won't listen. They don't want to make it simple.

So, here's the thing. In 2015 I bough an audio interface and I was given Cubase AI 6. In 2020 I bought a keyboard and I was given Cubase AI 10.
Now, I bought a new computer, and when I log in into Mysteinberg Cubase 10 to re-activate my software, Cubase 10 is not there. Only cubase 6. Why is that? And why is it so complicated to download a software. Theres download assistants, e-licenser stuff, download code, activation code... why does it have to be so hard?

What's the cost of lost customers vs stolen software? Way to complicated.

This is typical of the Steinberg user experience. everything is one big hassle.

where does one find the activation code for the elicenser
I purchased my UR-22C through Thomann, and I can't say I have had an email with the code on. Is this something you only get through the official Steinberg store? If so, are there any ways I can have a code sent to me

The licensing seems like something that should be handled by the interface itself if I'm being honest, surely there is a way to have the hardware act as a key for the licencing. The eLicenser business just feels needlessly clunky and dated

Don't want to be rude, but this is the worst experience when it comes to activation. Feels like it's done deliberately to make people give up...

This has been hands down the worst experience of downloading software in my life.

I love Cubase....but I need to go now and scrape my brains from the ceiling and the walls (moon landing was probably less complicated).

Step 2 Licenser gets stuck
Step 3 Uninstall
Step 4 go to Step 1

I bought this, and NOTHING is like this!! None of the codes work for non of the activations and installations!

You need a USB because you don't own your software, you're just renting it and if that dongle goes you go right back to non existent customer support and watching more videos on how to get to use software you paid a fortune for legally and can't use.

How "EASY" it is????: This is laughably difficult. I've never seen anything so stupidly complex and ridiculsouly difficult. In fact I'm sure I could far far more easily download and activate a ripped off version than going through this ludicrous process

If it were easy, there wouldn't be a needed video. Dorico SE 3.5 has been a learning experience, been with Steinberg for 20+ years and tech support has always been my goto.

dude you guys need to respond to people having issues -- Dorico users are few and far between. I am a composer & wanted to try Dorico to see if it'd provide more options for my particular style of writing than your competition. I downloaded the SE version, followed the directions in the email - entered the long code online, and installed. Now I see there is another code I was supposed to find somehow? Your instructions need major clarification on the website, as it is essentially directing us to dead ends. I remember this being the reason I steered away years ago. I really want to love your product but alas I haven't even been able to try it lol. Please get some testers to do your sign up process & observe where they struggle if you haven't already.

I heard Cubase was easy to use and "perfect for beginners" what a joke, glad I haven't paid for it yet, such an outdated activation method and non-functional peice of software because of the eLicencer, ever heard of a subscription based license Steinberg? Well off to Avid Pro Tools I go.......bye bye. 100% DO NOT RECOMMEND THIS AS A DAW, use something else.

What do you do if the soft e-Licenser never shows up? I've downloaded the program I've purchased but the e-Licenser hasn't shown up in my eLicenser Control Center.

I kept getting an error and can't connect to server error :/ what a tedious process and requires a looping product redirection. Apart from that I spent more hours than it should like 3hrs or more with no luck. Installed product is now just a bloatware.

paid 500 pounds and cant use the program,,, what now? i need to wait for the usb to be delivered to me? this is a joke

I got the activation code with my new device and as they said I download their Cubase le and tried activate using their useless code.. it failed every time I tried saying the activation code is already use... what a time consuming.. they have to make is user friendly for people who have paid for their products... it’s a thumps down from me.. really sucks a lots..

Literally what kind of company is this. Everyone has similar problems and when I try to activate it under a new computer it says the code is not valid. I want my money back

Terrible... I literally need to download software to use my interface but I can’t because it’s not compatible with Chrome.

So I want to try Cubase Pro 11 using your trial software. I download the necessary information, the Steinberg Download Assistant, input the Access Code, then input the license provided for eLicenser Control and... Nothing. I can't access the software because I need to buy a USB to access trial software. Where did this simple idea of convenience become obsolete by making an activation process so cryptic? Honestly, I've had "sessions" sat at my computer for a couple of days now thinking my hardware was the problem but it's You misleading potential customers.

How do you deactivate a license so you can use it on your other machine? I don't want to get the stupid USB stick. This has gotta be one of the worst, jankiest most unintuitive systems I've seen in a long time, it reminds me of stuff from the 90's.
