Those vtec had proved to be very unreliable an troublesome, particularly for the average car owner, I owned a 08 Accord and now my daughter an 03 Element (145k) those K-24 are biggest POS I have seen, they require more care Than a turbocharged engine, check on line the bunch of people with the infamous code P2646/47 without a solution, including myself 🤬

I've only got 20 seconds in this video. I already know he's going drone through it for anyone that wants to know if a 2.4 is leaking at the back of the engine . It's either the valve cover or the VTec solenoid. In the end. Buy both gaskets make sure to use actual dorman part numbers or Honda and you'll be fine. It's 3 bolts to take the VTec solenoid off. Have a great day!

Would this fix what I think are “transmission issues”. I got an 09 accord with 117000 miles and it’s been been a crazy couple 2000 miles. Had my cats changed and R/L axles changed cause they were beyond repair. Now I got an oil leak coming from my right output axle seal, oil filter and oil pan gasket so I’m hoping it’s just this one part cause my car jerks each gear shift (it’s an automatic).

The spool valve for the vtec also leaks like this, its in the same area just behind the engine. All you have to do for that one is replace the gasket, three 10mm bolts. Easy Peazy.
