Majohn N7 Green Pocket Fountain Pen Review

I likw the wancai very much. It is very comfortable in the hand.

The N7 is nice with the #6 nib but the thinness of the resin does have cincer for me and may pass in it.

As for the checkerboard / mosaic pattern. I love it. Peehaps i will look for it in another model. Maybe the Jinhao if available. Beown and White may be the one for me.

Wasn't there aDuofold made with the mosaic resin?

I like that finish. It reminds me lot of the checkerboard finish that Parker used to use.

Interesting review Chris. Nice looking pen and I think it's quite curious that they chose to put a Schmidt nib in it. With that thin a section it makes me think that the pen had already been made, but the section was modified to accept the nib - just idle speculation on my part.

It's interesting to get a Schmidt nib in a Moonman pen. Usually it's a choice between Moonman and Bock. I like the resin. Is that the same that Penbbs and I think, Jinhao has used? Oh, you answered that question.

I remember buying my first Mini after you reviewed it. I have several also. They are perfect for what they are. Now i need the #6 nib.

"Ah, you seely Eenglish!" I have a couple of those WanKai tiny pens, the swirly green and clear, and the Moonman/Majohn sparkly one in purple. Did your checkerboard patterned pen arrive that way, or did it get caught between the halves of the coconut "horses' hooves"? I have a Kaigelu like the one you showed, but in a different color. The pattern is in strips around the barrel, not individual tiles. A momentary disappointment, but I'd been jonesing for this pen for a while, and finally went for it, won the auction, and it is mine. MINE! Interesting that they're now using Schmidt nibs, not the nameless and ubiquitous Chinese steel nibs. Keep up the helpful and articulate videos, and thanks for your service to the penpeeps out here.
