Yo i found out that if you can drive one mph above the limit set it as cruise speed if you are going down a hill and you gain more speed and a cop passes by he wont fine you

And cops spawn in differences of about 100 miles so after i see a cop i allow to pass then i pedal to the metal

One thing i think i notice is that occasionally the AI will break the law. I don't know if that is indeed the case or if I am just bad at driving

Tip: It you drive on the shoulder (you gotta use the game map for this ) when the speed limit disappears and your speed isnt red anymore you don’t get fines from police or radars
But keep in mind that if you’re speeding and you get out of the shoulder in front of a cop you will be fined

In reality, trains almost never stop because they cannot stop that quickly.
General state safety advice in The Netherlands is to get out of your vehicle and move away asap after the engine stalls while on a railroad.
So don't even try to push it even if it's just a car. Dutch railways are very busy and trains cannot stop in time.

Tires have a lifetime of 3-6 years, or a good 100,000 miles on them

The devs I believe were only stimulating tire/wheel wear so regardless the truck is going to take damage, but only the wheels will suffer if the player is a decent driver

fun fact tires now have audio when they lose traction say when your spinning the tires or got them locked while your braking... they finally did it! but we have some sort of a controller tool to utilize everything the game has to offer and it should come from ETS teams as the official control panel or something thoughts???

The only one I didn't know was that AI vehicles keep their distance when you have hazards on. I'll be sure to keep that in mind for future difficult manoeuvres.

can stop the AI from letting you through? It looks ridiculous, every time they let me through as president, and if I'm in a convoy they will let you through but not my friend

I have 240 hours in the game and I didn't know but one of these! Amazing work.

about the police fines, if you go on the third lane (that one on the top right) the speed limit will disappear, so yo won't be fined if you overtake a cop even if you're going up to 130 km/h

I no longer play with fines enabled, but I do remember that usually there was an allowance of about 5 kmh you could go over the speed limit without a fine. In ATS that was not the case.

I've been playing WTS2 for years and i didn't know the hazard lights trick, thank you!

What I think is pretty realistic, is that the ai will pass you if you're going too slow down the road.

Another thing thats worth nothing but if you have RBG lighting on your computer, when you get a fine from the police, your PC flashes blue.. No I aint joking either..

found a "Glitch" in ATS maybe it can carry over to ETS you can go how ever fast you want so long its on the ememgery lane or shoulder for some reason the speed limit isn't applied there despite being a truck

I don't like this game..this is boring... GT simulator 2 is the best simulator game..

Recently i learned if you drive in the hard shoulder of a motorway the the place you stop if you breakdown there is no speed limit so if you want to zoom with no chance of being caught us it but you driving better be good because one wrong move and you can take a lot of damage

So after ~ 90.000km tires are 100% damaged. Those tires should at least last 150.000km if not more.

Mostly annoying is the rest of the damage.
ENGINE, transmission and so on can be 'repaired' after a 800km trip....

U cant drive faster than the cops and stay behind the cops 💀💀

You can set the speed limit option to car speed limit in the settings, and then the police will only fine you if you're going above the car speed limit. So you can enjoy driving maxed out on the autombahn without any fines!

I know this may sound baflfing but tires and mechanical components wear over use.

Imagine if technology got good enough for them to combine. Truck simulator, construction sim, and train sim to make a complete world. Maybe even flight sim as well.

Is there a way to set the official speed limit from 80 to 90 km/h because in Austria you are allowed to drive 90 km/h! Nice Video

Me and my friend saw that in convoi, 1 can have the rain and the other can have the sun with no clouds but litteraly at the same spot, so there is a little mistake here

Yep, doing it while they’re behind you has the same results

And if you switch wrong gear or w/out clutch you will tear youre gearbox with specific noise
