I prefer a hammer on a J frame. I retain the ability to cock the gun for a more precise shot it warranted. It is easy to make sure you roll you thumb over the hammer on a pocket draw.
ОтветитьKaztac Wrapid loader system makes more competitive.
ОтветитьJust looked at our two biggest gun stores in my area. One had no 32 ammo and the other had one type of 32 long at $1.00 per round. Unfortunately, that's the real problem with 32; I've got one 32 revolver that I haven't shot in 30+ years due to either the difficulty of finding ammo and/or the cost. Wish they'd increase availability and lower cost.
ОтветитьGot a Ruger .32 revolver. And based on your videos, a S&W 632 on order. Would like to find a laser dry fire cartridge???
ОтветитьIs there a reason why it’s not milled for moon clips? Or did I miss that? I’d think for a higher end defensive revolver that would be standard.
ОтветитьIs it easy or at least possible to upgrade the airweight to a titanium cyylinder?
ОтветитьBlah blah blah .. ALL I WANT TO KNOW IS WHY EVERY GRIP MAKER ISNT SELLING THOSE HIGH HORN CENTENIAL GRIPS FOR MY 342Ti?? I mean seriously, the hammerless Centennial Smiths outsell all other J frames by a sizable margin so it makes zero sense why everyones sleeping on that very old design.. I contacted VZ grips and they said they are not available for separate purchase.. Its criminal that these upgrades havent been available for 20 years.. I mean no one in Smiths marketing department was like "Hey, why dont we install some Novak sights on a J frame?".. Who TF is working at these companies and do they carry and shoot their products?
ОтветитьThis channel has made me more intrigued about revolvers.
Ответить(IMHO) Nite sites are really overrated !!
ОтветитьRespectfully requesting that you guys update your ballistics testing on your website in the labs section. Half of the tests you guys show in common calibers are for ammunition that aren't even in production anymore or are rarely sold.
ОтветитьI bought the 32 Charter Arms so my wife could handle it easily. That's it. (good enough for its intended use)
ОтветитьI have carried a model 442 for almost 30 years. It is combat proven. While working retail, I was attacked, knocked to the ground, the life of my wife and myself were threatened. He said your money or your life. While on the ground, I pulled my 442 and offered option 3, his life. Police said good job Gene.
All those wonderful upgrades in sites and reworked trigger are would not have changed my outcome. my plain 442 was more than adequate as the fight started at 5 feet and ended 4 shots later at 10 feet. The grips, I swapped mine out for a pacmyer set, were the best upgrade I could make for the j-frame 442.
I swap this with my S&W M&P9c. Never fired the 9 but that's a good thing.
This is awesome and thanks for a fantastic review but does this beat kimber cary options
ОтветитьWhat is it, 1864? Wheel guns suck. I have automatics that size that have 13 rd capacity. So no
ОтветитьThank you for this video. It convinced me to buy one.
ОтветитьI'm hesitant on this one after seeing reviews of purchased guns. Several with cylinder issues and mangled pins straight out of the box. Have to wonder on the QC.
ОтветитьI just received my .32 Long and .32 H&R ammo from you (delivered two days after I ordered it). Thanks for this review and for the quick service of my order.
Ответить638-3 and 351PD are pretty cool too.
Night sites on an "oh shit " I am fighting 3 attacks at once. Not necessary. J -frame is an elevator survival wheel gun. In my opinion.
Man you are trying to sell me on the 32...... You are my preferred online ammo store and at the time of writing you don't even sell it 😂.
ОтветитьI am incu wings
Ответить5 round revolvers. Boo. Make them 6 but keep them the same small size.
ОтветитьModel 632uc owner here. The problem with the standard composite grips is that they are too large IMO for pocket carry, so I use the stock grips from a Smith model 642 on mine. Oh yeah I love this revolver ! I'm using a Mika pocket holster.
ОтветитьBought this in .32 as a deep conceal option mostly based on this video and checking it out in the store. My first revolver and I absolutely love it.
ОтветитьBeing in Scotland all I'm allowed to carry is a sense of impending doom.
ОтветитьI just now saw this video, but when I saw that gun announced a few months ago one of my first thoughts was "A .32 compact revolver with usable sights? Chris Baker is going to love this thing."
ОтветитьI live in a civilized developed country, and we just trust our police to carry the guns. No reason to be carrying a gun anywhere if you are not a police agent. The US is barbaric and third world.
Ответить$750! Your are out of your mind if you believe it's a good deal! Great sites on a snub nose? Again, you are out of your mind! That gun is meant for up close and personal. 100yr old tech should not cost THAT much. There are other products that will do the same job for a lot less.
ОтветитьI ordered one of those. It's been almost six months now.😮
ОтветитьMy only complaints with mine (other than having to load practice rounds or go broke, which I knew going in) is that I REALLY wish they had made it with an ultralight Ti cylinder. This thing handles so easily, an 11oz version would only be an improvement for carry.
ОтветитьHow wouls you compare this to the Ruger LCR in .327?
ОтветитьCan the .32 version use +P?
Ответить$759?!?!?!? Wow for 200 Year old Tech that has Zero Improvement.
ОтветитьLucky gunner is a badass!
ОтветитьExcellent review. Thank you.
ОтветитьNice
ОтветитьUltimate carry? I have to laugh at that one.
ОтветитьI never understood why S&W revolvers don't come standard with 6 rounds. 5 rounds, while sufficient it's always good to "at least" have 1 extra round in .38 special or .327 Magnum~.
ОтветитьI like this gun but I choose to carry a 327 capable revolver, usually an LCRX loaded with HST having 408 fpe x 6 covers my needs nicely.
ОтветитьA guy working at a gun store that’s never heard of 32 H&R is exactly why you don’t ask for gun advice from people that work at gun stores.
ОтветитьI never seriously considered 32 h&r mag until now
Ответить.32 is a much lighter slug. This, of course, is important for penetration - the key factor (besides bullet placement) for inflicting lethal wounds.
ОтветитьHow does one acquire one of these puppies? What is Lipsey's?
ОтветитьFor anyone wondering I'm pretty sure the watch he's wearing is the Citizen BM8180.
ОтветитьNo, the ultimate would have a 3" barrel, a trigger job, and a $349 price tag. 😂
ОтветитьMy “Like” dates from months ago; I cannot seem to find whether I posted an earlier comment. I have seen these at a local gun store. I remain unconvinced that I should buy a concealed-hammer* Lipsey’s UC, but, still like .32 H&R for compact carry, having two 2” S&W Models 631, and a 4” SP101. Arthritis is creeping up on me, along with age, so, my little guns need to be low-recoil, while my 9mm and .45 handguns need to be full-sized, or at least have full-duty-sized grips, to remain useful. (I just sold three compact nines, and bought a Glock 17L. My “compact” Glock is a 19x.)

I carry a older Taurus 731 UL
Basically a 85 UL chambered for 6 rounds 32 H&R
I hoping Taurus make a 7 shot on a aluminum framed 856 size frame
I spoke to the owner of Charter… seemed he is interested in building a 2 inch barreled , aluminum framed model of their 32 H&R Professional
Actually with their new equipment they are now producing all their revolvers with Aluminum frames
All well and good, but S&W support for malfunctioning or imperfect firearms is spotty at best. My last 22LR pistol was "repaired" 3 times over 9 months before I sold it to a dealer in Maine. I just got tired of not having direct access to a gunsmith and having to send typewritten letters along with the returned firearm like its 1975. S&W does not make quality products or provide modern support options. I argued that the smith should setup a Zoom call direct from the workbench to get the full picture of what's happening. Instead, I was told "you didn't make it clear in your letter," rather than someone taking the time to check in with me once the gun was being serviced. This resulted in long delays and 3 trips to the factory. I think the gun was in the shop longer than I actually owned and operated it. Good riddance
ОтветитьGreetings Chris and thanks for this snubby video!
Question for you - - - We have a S&W 360PD. I chose the model with single action thumb hammer only because I wanted to make it easier for my wife to qualify when she renews her CCW. No comments necessary re "practice more" etc., etc. Any snubby with an exposed hammer becomes a hinderance when drawing, especially when pocket-drawing. Do you know of a replacement after-market hammer that still provides for single-action while at the same time reduces the snag of the hammer?
Best,
Rich
Awesome video!! I’m sold !!! 32
