maybe because you washed your self and are wet so the moisture enhanced the bacteria growth and maybe you needed to dry and then take the swab test but depending how clean the towel or the drying cloth is it could also be a factor that changes the result
ОтветитьThis experiment did not took into account some variables. But there are profesional experiments beeing made that leave out way more variables and come to a conclusion that gets mainstreamed and even enforced as the standard. That is scary to me.
Ответитьit is honestly not bad to have bacteria on your legs and arms. In immunology it is said that the presence of non-dangerous micro-organisms prevent the viability of dangerous bacteria!
ОтветитьYou know when, at a math test you mess up and gets an answer like "The train's accelerarion is 580000km/s²" or "Old man jonah got 2,5 sons"?
You should be WAY more skeptical at an experiment saying you that not using soap is better than using it.
Love the content but it is not as harmless as it may look
I’ve always heard another reason you should use anti-bacterial soaps and such regularly because it promotes the bacteria to become resistant to antibiotics. I don’t know if this is true but I feel the same way about this episode that I did about the laundry episode; I’ve been using soap the same way my whole life and I’m not dead or constantly sick. So I don’t think it’s something to worry too much about.
ОтветитьTry Dr Squatch I need to know
Ответитьdoes the idiot on the right speak
ОтветитьMatt looked like he got vidoligo😂 turn white from his face out
ОтветитьI feel like they should have used maybe a yeast packet with some clean substrate instead of dirt. Cause dirt would be I'll dispersed throw the dirt plus u have different bacteria all sticking to there environment differently then the next
ОтветитьSteph. You are an absolutely amazing person. Your addition to the Theorist Family was a God Send.
ОтветитьMore bacteria doesn't necessarily mean it's bad. It all depends on what kind of bacteria we're dealing with. My theory is that scrubbing your legs, with or without soap, removes more skin cells, which results in more healthy skin microbes covering body in order to protect it.
Ответитьwashing your body more than once in the shower and exfoliating helps with that
ОтветитьI watched this while eating.
Ответитьmatt for half the video be like: O.O
ОтветитьThe water reduced the population of bacteria/fungi on your legs - the soap then eliminated not only the beneficial inhabitants of your skin, it eliminated all but the hardiest, most virulent bacteria and fungi. Yes, the same nightmare scenario that unfolded in the petri dish happens on your skin after you bathe because you've eliminated competition and filtered for the worst of what remains. The result is a population explosion - for everyone except our jeans wearing host, who is regularly innoculating himself with more balanced cultures of his own biome!
ОтветитьHuh.
I wonder if this has something to do with the natural oils and stuff on your own skin. What if the reason Matt’s is so out of control is because he JUST took a shower, but the others had their shower the night before?
How
The actual f*ck
Some random video about freaking SOAP is getting 1.8+M views?!
In the year of our Lord 2023?!!
try things with raw ingredients like coconut oil, almond milk and clay!
ОтветитьI have a feeling that This SOAP SAGA is going to be longer than the fnaf saga
Ответитьmake the next plsss
ОтветитьI'll just bathe with dish soap then...
ОтветитьI love her voice over. I hope at minimum she continues narrating soap saga specifically but I also understand they have a kid and child care is freaking expensive and hard to find sometimes right now
Ответитьwhat you also have to remember is your skin is supposed to have bacteria on it. you have a natural balance of bacteria that actually helps to keep you healthy!
Ответитьdoes washing with washcloth/lufa/brush make a difference?
Ответитьso how long was the mud on your legs until you were able to wash it off?
ОтветитьSo... not all bacteria is bad, just saying.
ОтветитьI hope for more Stephanie voiceovers
ОтветитьGreat video but I don't see what this even has to do with skin health. We have a whole ecosystem (microbiote) living on our skin which is benefitial to us, for example just competing for food (dead skin cells and lipids) with the actual harmfull virus and bacterias. If you don't analize what's actually growing in there to see wheter it's native to the skin or not, it's not usefull information. The most active ones could even be the healthiest!
ОтветитьThe bacteria isn’t necessarily pathogens
ОтветитьLooks like you have a lot of Bacillus sp. on your post mud plates. Typical bacteria you find in soil that spreads over the plates when grown. I mean, you rubbed soil bacteria all over your skin and found soil bacteria on your skin...not really shocking.
ОтветитьSeems like totally eliminating all bacteria from the skin might not be desirable. Not all bacteria is bad for your skin.
ОтветитьI am so interested in the effective ness of soap.
ОтветитьI was a skeptic to this new channel...my brain thought "clothes and beauty" and I was like eh...but after this and the other shower one, I now better understand this channel and am excited for more 👀
Other ideas I thought were shower vs bath and deodorant: different types and how much
@TheStyleTheorists ... When is the next part of this coming out?? You make an entire episode telling us that dove basically isn't soap then don't upload a second video doing this with different soaps to find out which soap is actually getting you clean.. I don't want to waste my money on something that isn't going to get me clean however you never stated a product that does actually get you clean. I've been curious about those soaps at the stores that look like home made lye soaps are those any better at getting you clean?
ОтветитьWait does Amy watch Community!?!
Ответить2 27 all challals colours in franms
ОтветитьThis video was great, really interesting to watch, and for me it was so satisfying that it confirmed my personal bias. Dove is a rubbish brand!!! In my personal experience, I can feel and smell the difference on my skin when I use better brands of soap. In my country dove is not allowed to market a lot of their products as soap and instead markets them as “beauty bars”, they do not clean your skin!
ОтветитьHow did you control for dirty water running off your bodies back onto your legs after they had been cleaned?
Ответитьis it just me? or did anyone else happen to notice the absence of flannels. redo the experiment please.
ОтветитьWoohoo fellow Czech here too! And no i wont be forgetting this meme anytime soon 😅😊
ОтветитьW steph
ОтветитьGarden theory...?
ОтветитьDove is not by definition “soap”. They even have a commercial where they were like… Dove is better than soap
ОтветитьIt still bothers me to this day if they properly dried their legs before they took the swab. I noticed how the controlled swab for everyone, except mat's moist and sweaty legs, has the least amout of bacterial growth because it was dry. I hope the theorists sees this and redo the experiment just to make sure.
ОтветитьYou should mix all shop brands you can get together and see what it does
ОтветитьStaphanie needs her own channel (if she does she needs a raise!)
ОтветитьCan you test 3 in 1 products
ОтветитьIt's too bad they did not have a soap only, no mud test.
ОтветитьI want more VO Stephanie!! But Dan's VO can go F--- Themselfs
Ответить
