As a Tesla owner, I'm not happy with it!! I think it's BS, you shouldn't be able to use the Tesla infrastructure if you haven't bought one.

How do you tell in the Tesla app which ones are "Magic Docks" vs the standard Tesla connector that requires an adapter?

I watched your review of CCS to Tesla adapters. In the "Magic Dock" charging system the adapter is part of the Supercharger. Does that make the adapters irrelevant? I think I have time to cancel my order for a CCS to Tesla adapter.

tesla should have switched to CCS like they did in europe and we wouldn't have had this format war

I hate that a non Tesla takes up 2 stalls. I have a Tesla S which is large.
And still have to back app extremely close To the charger. H🎉aving a non Tesla take up 2 stalls is a problem and very wrong Elon!!!!!

PERHAPS TESLA WILL CORRECT???? how about your manufacturer put the connector in the right location???? The charger was made for a tesla which you are now using while giving all the money to his competitor. If i were elon... i would be.. you know what.. f-it.. no more superchargers for other manufacturers.

What all charging stations should be are slightly wider and pull through. Why the stations were designed like this from the start seems a little odd.

So... Brewster is not far from me and I recently got a second Chevy Bolt that actually has DCFC and had to try it out.

Not as easy as I would imagine. I would have to block 1 charger to use one to be closer to the very short cord.

I used the furthest spot on the right and into the solid white lined area and moved my car as close to the charger as humanly possible and was able to get it to barely work.

I got 7kWhs in 25 minutes just to test and then went home.

I got yelled at by a tesla driver cuz i had my chevy bolt pluged in during complementary time, called the cops on me, he got a ticket

If Tesla allows non-Tesla vehicles to use their supercharges all Tesla vehicle owners should be pissed off and rightly so If they find that they are waiting for non-Tesla vehicles to finish charging their vehicles.

How can we find locations and keep abreast of the rollout?

My ICE had went out last month and I needed to get a new one. I had fallen in love with Tesla years ago but had concerns about the longevity. When I had the opportunity to get a new car I looked at Ford Mach-E and a few Hyundais but the network and charging was an issue. I would have to drive 25-30 mins for a fast charger but only 5 mins for a super charger with Tesla. Ive been charging level 1 at home and won't install level 2 until my taxes/rebates. I ended up going with Tesla because of the charging infrastructure. I have charging at the office when I go in but I needed something more reliable for closer to my house. Along with road trips.

Not tesla problem. Thats your car you bought. Blame your manufacturer.

I totally get why Tesla did this but as a Tesla owner it was nice to always have a super charger spot open on a long trip.

First push in the adapter, then pull out, it's like that sword...

Two takes as a Tesla owner and Tesla investor: 1. The reason I got a Tesla was because of the 10+ year super charger network that Tesla has been building since 2013 and is the biggest most reliable charger network. 2. Tesla opening up to other EV manufacturer. It's the only way we'll advanced EV adoption and as investor is a great opportunity for Tesla's extra profits. Tesla will be come the Gas station for most EVs. I disagree with the busy chargers... as Tesla will be building and opening more locations and adding extra super chargers at current locations. longer cables should be a quick fix for the company that is solving autonomous driving :) Also remember as more EVs hit the market Gas station will also change to super chargers. Tesla will not be alone as people move from ICE to EVs.

Is ok to charge my EQS450 at this Tesla station?

Tesla owner here and I am not happy to see other non-teslas using the SC. This is all for money! One of the reasons I am proud to own one is the SC exclusivity! I’ll be very pissed if I am about to SC and all are taken by Rivians, Lucids, etc. and I have to wait or go to another one to continue on my trip!
