Hi Michelle. While I enjoyed the video, I'm legally blind and couldn't see any of the lines being drawn. I actually don't draw before painting. In order to see a line I need to use something like a felt tip marker. Thicker is better, so I can even hope to see the lines. What advice can you give me? I know my painting would be better if I had guide lines, but drawing where I can see a line is a major mark on the paper. Thank you for any suggestions you can provide.

Just curious to know if you put all your proposed work in a sketchbook first, or go directly to the watercolour paper..is this an ‘artist’s ethics thing or just a choice of each person!

Hi Michelle, thank you for your tips. Yes, I have been guilty of all I think but have managed to overcome some.
I found your tips about faces particularly helpful. I went to art lessons, but was never taught this and have really battled with figure drawing of all kinds. I was taught to measure with a pencil etc, but it was never pointed out that the eyes are not in a straight line. I totally gave up portraits because of this. My faces were always 'off', so you have given me so much enthusiasm to try again.
I paint watercolours mostly and good drawing is an absolute and because I paint from a reference whether it's a fresh bouquet or birds, I manage to get those right but the human face eludes me.
Thank you again, I have never seen you before so I'm very excited to see what other videos you have done. I have subscribed and if I could tick your like button multiple times I would 🥰💐🤗
