I am confused regarding the purpose of this exam.

This’s for the underprivileged. If so, why are the urban kids, who are not going to change their schools, made to sit for the exam?

Because of the opportunities in the urban schools, the standards of the exam are mercilessly raised, making the challenge even more difficult for the rural kids. In this scenario, are we genuinely helping helping the rural kids?
Let’s be honest.

You can lower the cut off marks depending on the areas the rural kids apply from and release the list, so they get a fair chance.
