I’m limited to some of the things he mentioned, but I can still add to what I have going currently.. anyone reading this I pray you meet your goals. 🤙🏼
ОтветитьI've started with a Kettlebell and a steel mace, I can get a pretty good full body workout with just those and since I'm fat rn that's really what I need, eventually I'll get a squat rack bench combo and hopefully a heavy bag
ОтветитьHonestly it's about your fitness goals when picking equipment.
ОтветитьIf a person is just starting out...With workout...They probably can't do a pullup or a dip. They don't need pullup bar or dip bar. Thats a horrible suggestion. First thing they need is...Some weights. Dumbbells and a barbell along with a rack of some sorts.
Ответить'Do what you can with what you've got.'
ОтветитьYou should do an update, actually visiting his home gym. I’m sure he’d love to have you over for a workout.
Ответитьi love a box also. box jumps, squats, step ups and a seat
ОтветитьTotal weight of pull up bar ???
Ответитьyou really can do a lot with little...i removed my kitchen table and lift in my kitchen!! eat at the coffee table
ОтветитьMy essentials (no particular order):
1. Squat rack with pull up bar
2. Oly bar
3. Rings
4. Parallettes for dips
5. Selection of kettle bells
6. Bench
7. Plates
8. Skipping rope
9.Dipping belt or weighted vest
10. Adjustable dumbbells (my next purchase)
lol kipping pull ups wtf yall look dumb
ОтветитьStep 1: buy a house…
Step 2: wait a couple months to not be broke again & continue
Maj. Lt. Jocko = The only person I've ever met who needs Iron bells. Or it actually makes a difference without outside help. The entire muscle impulse-response chain (MIRC) is different.
ОтветитьDumbbells?
ОтветитьI didn't have room or strength to start, so.....I picked up a curl bar and a few small Olympic plates. Yeah I paid full retail but I got started. First just the bar....a week later added 2.5# plates, following week traded 5# for the 2.5#.....im just going up 2.5# per week....no need to hurt myself (age 64 and seriously out of shape) Looking forward to moving on up.
ОтветитьYou can absolutely destroy yourself with this gear. I’m talking completely annihilate yourself to hell. I definitely recommend getting this piece of gear. - jocko willank
ОтветитьI almost completely agree with Jacko. Rings are definitely 1st. Squat rack is 2nd. Not sure if I'd recommend kettlebells over adjustable dumbbells though. Almost anything you can do with a kettlebell, you can do with a dumbbell and so much more, and the Concept 2 Rower is brutal. Forget torture and waterboarding, all you need is a Concept 2 Rower.
Ответитьbla bla bla
ОтветитьId cover that fiber glass, otherwise you're breathing it in everyday.
ОтветитьAre rack pulls good for back?
ОтветитьWhere do you park your car …""
ОтветитьFlimsy door frame pullup bars are still totally worth it if you're starting from nothing.
ОтветитьThis is kind of ridiculous. If someone is a fat fuck and wants to build some muscle.. What the hell is he supposed to do with a pull up bar? He can't even hang there for more than 5 seconds. Some people literally need to start with 20 lbs weights
Ответитьintresting he didnt mention dumbells - he must not think they are that important?
Ответитьwtf are these pull ups in this video LMFAO look like salmon jumping out the water
ОтветитьWhy do you have 15 barbells
ОтветитьThe CrossFit pull ups lmao
ОтветитьSled. Rope. Pull-Up Bar. Dips Bars. Heavy Vest for weighted walks/walking lunges.
Ответить“…having your gym CO-located with your DO-micile” Jocko. LOL.
ОтветитьHate saying this.. but basically CrossFit at home
ОтветитьNo house and every apartment ive ever lived in has nailed door trim that fall off. So guess its those weird horizontal rows for me.
ОтветитьSimple. Kettlebell, sandbag, dumbbells, bench.
ОтветитьCrossFit gym then
ОтветитьThis man will wank himself Dead
ОтветитьJACKO DOES CROSS FIT
ОтветитьSo what I got from this is kettlebells and rings
Ответитьi agree with this guy but I think it would be much more nessesary to get dumbells before anything just because u can do basically anything with them. curls, tricep extensions, bench, skullcrushers, forearm curls, real delt flys etc
ОтветитьNice hat....Go Birds!
ОтветитьIs it weird that I still cringe at people doing kipping pull-ups? Are they really beneficial to do over strict pull-ups? I was at the park last month watching an older fellow doing kipping pull-ups. At one point he attempted normal strict pull-ups and didn't get a single one in with good form or with his chin over the bar one time. Like really...
ОтветитьThis is surprisingly bad advice from Jacko. Get the following...
Sled
Resistant bands
Kettlebells (pairs)
Farmer handles
Bumper plates
Sand bags
Horse stall mats
Stationary cardio machine (bike, rower, ski erg)
Bench (that can go at any angle)
You spelled Marcus Filly wrong
ОтветитьWhen Jocko goes to the gym, the gym gets a work out!
ОтветитьWow. Read my mind. When COVID first hit and the gyms closed. That's the first thing I did. I went to Lowes and bought some lumber, pipes, and masonry cement and built an awesome pull up bar and attached parallel bars for dips. Then I hung a muay thai bag, bought an olympic bar, some bumper plates, some kettle bells sandbags, a glute ham developer, and a landmine base. I didn't have room really for a squat rack, but my garage gym is pretty good. Granted, I still go to the gym daily, but my garage gym is great for two a day workouts or when I can't make it to the gym. It's also a good place to workout with the wife...and a great place for those unplanned workouts when the wife pisses me off and I need to let off some steam...haha.
Ответитьmate, lose the pervy moustache :)
Ответитьyour gym look like old jujimouffu garage gym
ОтветитьBeen doing 200 curls daily for the past 6 months with rings. It seems like i have reached my limit already sincy my arms wont grow. Probably need juice or something?
