How NOT to Set Up ClickUp (4 ClickUp Hierarchy Mistakes)

Love all the tips, thank you!! I have a question that's kind unrelated to the video, but I think if anyone can answer it, it's you! So... can you make dependent dropdowns or dependent labels? For example, I use ClickUp to track inventory. With inventory, I like to track the fields "Department" and within those departments, "Category". For example, I sell various products so department examples might be: Women, Men, Kids, Home, Beauty, etc. Within a department (e.g., Women), I might have sub categories like "Bags, Jeans, Coats," etc.

Is there a way to set things up so I have to first select a department for a task, and then depending on the department I select, the linked category options will become available?

As suspected, that free quiz does not provide any useful information whatsoever... at the end it just says... This project needs a space...
And of course you can only see this once you have provided your email...

So yeah, just another scheme to get an email where I am sure I will be told how experienced ProcessDriven is at helping companies move to, or restructure their ClickUp...

We have been trying to more all our processes, including our webdevelopment process, which is our core business to ClickUp and so far... it makes a lot of promises and fails to deliver on nearly all of them...
Especially since you need 3rd party apps to gather timesheets and create invoices, which of course don't support custom fields etc...

Permissions is why you'd want a separate space for each client. Otherwise it's one mistake and you share the entire space containing all tour clients

Great job, we just moved our team from Asana to ClickUp. We were using Dropbox Paper for procedures and being able to merge procedures and project management into one tool, so far, has been great. Love your content!

Is there an adhd-friendly basic entry point to be able to use this today without first mastering the entire depths of this terrifying, opaque program that I think maybe hates me? Trying to follow along but still overwhelmed and feeling like maybe this isn't for me.

If not, is there another program (app - I don't know if this is a task-manager or a calendar thingy or a <business bro sounding words e.g. "project management" lol: "productivity tool"?) but with less friction and more intuitive transparency?
I think I heard that you could verbally "tell" this program to do stuff like AI-style, e.g. "tell my calendar app - which I can't get to sync between devices despite being logged in with the same email on all - that I have to see the eye doctor next wednesday at 4pm", which is way better for someone with executive function that memorizing a bunch of language and concepts and arbitrarily digging through dark folders and obscure lists and nested menus but never being able to find the notes I absolutely entered in the wrong section, using the wrong tools. That's what this looks like to me (but so do basically all these productivity tools so far).
If I find something that works for my braining style, I look forward to sharing it with the community

CLICKUP DOES DOES NOT UPDATE ON REAL TIME. You have to click Refresh everytime. Example, I have a Checkbox called Draft, the entire row is supposed to move to Status "Approval". Instead, the row will just sit there unless I hit REFRESH. I'm using Automation. WOW THIS SUCKS!
