entertaining, but inaccurate in so many points it is apparent that little effort was spent in research.

Native Americans were not native to American any more than anyone else born here afterwards. They migrated from Asia.

I love watching history and reading about it but there’s a lot of half truths and misguided woke info in this and I’m part native . Native people didn’t live in harmony all the time with eachother life was hard and people had to do what they had to do to get by weather they were Europeans Mexicans or natives

This is historical hogwash. Let's put aside the fact that they show the revolutionary war being fought with Civil War era weapons, this is full of historical inaccuracy and slanted to support one narrative. For instance they make the claim that Indians sided with the British. Yes, some did. However, many sided with the colonists. I am an enrolled member of the Choctaw Nation. We first encountered Europeans in 1540, those being Spanish explorer Hernando de Soto and his army. We sent them packing by the way. But the Choctaw fought for the Revolutionaries against the British. Many tribes like the Choctaw and the other "Civilized Tribes" were early assimilators and had very good relationships with Settlers. The major exception to this is the Trail of Tears which happened much later, which you can put at the feet of Andrew Jackson and the Democrats. But many tribes were early to assimilate. Under President Grant, Ely Parker an Indian was the Secretary of War. This was when much of the resettlement of plains tribes happened. Not to mention the participation of Indian Scouts. Also by this time, you had hundreds of years of mixing between Europeans and Indians. So these Indian wars make much more sense as a form of Civil War between assimilated and unassimilated than they do as pure conquest. Even the modern conflict in 1973 between AIM and the Lakota tribal government is evidence of this assimilated vs. unassimilated conflict. This entire narrative is based on a very simplistic and juvenile understanding and interpretation of history; it is intellectually dishonest; and meant to undermine modern western civilization and western values. Yes there was tragedy, sometimes intentional and some times not. Yes, Indians died of European disease. But no one ever talks about native diseases that killed Europeans like Syphilis. History does not happen in a vacuum and every settler was not some proto-Hitler. Just and all Indians were not all leather clad Mother Teressa's. Good and bad on both side that gave as good as they got, and more than anything lived in the past. Move on, move past, don't project these events into the modern era, don't project modern expectations on these people, and buy a helmet if life is too hard.

And weirdly—this were nowhere NEAR the first peoples in this land. Why I hate the argument of “native land”. The entire world has been nothing but battle over battle for control of resources. “Cultural appropriation”?? Come ON. That’s ALL of human history. We are nothing BUT an amalgamation of those that came before. All of us. Israelis and Palestinians included.

America was settled and developed because of explorers from Europe discovered it and that was followed by ever Increasing Immigration over a 250 year period. This Immigration from Europe changed the New World forever and destroyed the Native American way of life. The current Mass Migration from South America and from many other countries. The current migration will change America again encouraged for Political Reasons, history is repeating itself.

Very disappointed in NatGeo. NONE of the clothing, weapons, or even scenery is period to the 1700s westward expansion. I just a revolver in the film that wasn't invented until the 1850s. And much of the scenery is from West of the Missouri River. If you are going to tell the story, please tell it right. History is important.
