The first rifle I ever fired at 5 years old was a 30-06. Was addicted from that moment.
ОтветитьHeresy Heresy !! 30-06 rules forever !!
Ответитьnah I will keep my 30.06 and my 308 but i hunt with my 30.06 always will during rifle
Ответить30-06 lets you own 1903, M1Garand and hunting rifles all sharing the same caliber.....just sayin
ОтветитьWhich rifle has zero cons and 3 pros?
ОтветитьWhat is the rifle brand of the 30-06 please
ОтветитьI grew up w/the .308, .303 & .30-06’ w/my Dad & Uncle’s using them for deer hunting. The very 1st “Deer Rifle”, I bought for MYSELF was…..the .30-06’ & still use it today after 35+years and I’ve never regretted my decision. There was a .270 in Winchester Model 70 & a Remington Model 700 .30-06’ BOTH for $325.00. I chose the 30-06’, & I’ve NEVER wished differently. I used to load from 90-grains to 220-grains & the ole’ 06’ shines through em’ all!!!! Great video man, love it!!!!
ОтветитьThanks for making fun videos without being the unibomber’s cousin.
ОтветитьI like your 30-06, what is it? Want to sell it😂
ОтветитьWhat suppressor is that
Ответить30-06 gave me my scope eye at like 8 or 9
ОтветитьThe first deer gun I ever bought, over 15 years ago was stevens 30-06. I still have it, took it out before rifle season this year, shot it twice, and drove straight home to put icy hot on my shoulder. 30-06 is an absolute recoil hammer for a "normal" hunting cartridge!
ОтветитьIts my go to round, I've used it for everything
ОтветитьIf you dont like .30-06 recoil, either learn to shoulder a rifle properly or stick with .22lr.
ОтветитьMy 93 year old father still shoots his old old old Savage 110 30 ot 6 and take the recoil with ease. He still uses 180g. It's not that bad of recoil. 12g with 3 1/2" turkey load kicks way harder. People have gotten soft over the years.
ОтветитьWhen I was a kid I thought the 30/06 was the ultimate cartridge. Once i got one i learned it was a bit too much for most applications that i was using it for. A 7mm-08 or 243 is plenty for everything except for elk, moose, and bear.
ОтветитьTalk too much
ОтветитьI mean it took off limbs and heads during combat. Rather have a 06 then 556
ОтветитьGood, but Boring
ОтветитьWhat rifle set up are you using for the 30-06? I've never seen one with a box magazine that long.
ОтветитьAnyone no what kind of bipod that is I’m trying to get one
ОтветитьPlease dear god what is that hog target and where did you get it? would love one just like it
Ответить90 or so years ago a man named Gancel Fitz took all 30 some species of North American game. This was with ammo that is nowhere as good as ammo construction today.
ОтветитьMy dad's Garand was the first centerfire rifle I ever shot. We've both taken deer with it and had a ton of fun at the range as well. It's now semi-retired and awaiting a Winchester op-rod to replace the bent SA one. I'm a real sucker for nostalgic things, especially when it comes to guns. The '06 is my pick for a lower 48 rifle to rule them all.
Ответитьsome experts like to say that there is no such thing as stopping power, but correct me if I'm wrong, I think you unintentionally created a test that demonstrates stopping power and penetration. the steel flip being the demonstration of stopping power and the craters demonstrating penetration. this was awesome!
ОтветитьThe 30-06 is a handloaders delight. I really don’t know if there is another cartridge that will take the range of bullets. Simply, if you hand load there is only one do everything. Guess what it is.
Ответить30-06 is my least favorite round
ОтветитьThe 30.06 is still king but there are many fine cartridges today trying to catch up. It’s just a darn tough act to follow.
ОтветитьThe M1 grand was obviously the very best combat rifle of all time.
Ответитьiv been a super fan of the 308 for 20 years. my first cartridge i reloaded. first caliber i shot in F class comp. but after buying 2 garands from the cmp. and now stocking a new caliber. iv found a new respect for the old '06. it really is something special.
ОтветитьSuper sonic 300 blackout you should add
ОтветитьAmazing video, but man do you need a beard
ОтветитьI use a 30-30
ОтветитьShot placement and distance some hog hunters use 22 mag for inventory stick w the common 22 9mm 45 12 g 30-06
ОтветитьThe 30-06 is old yes, it has lasted because it’s a great round. It’s still the standard by which all others are compared to. Many cartridges that were supposed to dethrone the ‘06 aren’t around much anymore.
Ответитьhi, nice report... over here in Europe, what we say about the 30-06 is: good for everything, excellent for nothing, hi ! all in all thanx for being very clear on data and cons/pros
Ответить1748 ft lbs of energy in 06 at 600 yds is enough proof for me
Ответить30-06 has taken big game on every continent on the planet .and been in multiple wars from 1900 forward .. so very versatile round 🥃 good video thanks
ОтветитьI use a 7mm rem mag most of the time but I dont think any animal I have ever killed would have know the difference if I used my 06. I have shot Whitetails at 400 but a vast majority of them have been inside 200 and thats nothing for the old 06.
Ответитьsee 22lr take down more then a hog with only one shot
ОтветитьGot to just love so caled know it all . Collage junky
ОтветитьRE: Overpriced .308 Win.
I had been in this camp for a long time but a .308 Winchester M1 Garand just looses it’s charm compared to the USGI .30-06 Garand.
I like the baby making music you use.
ОтветитьI do need a 30.06....in fact im 700 bucks away from my HCAR.
ОтветитьI like hunting with a 8mm mauser. That is a very versatile round.
ОтветитьIs 7.62, the same as a 30 .06
ОтветитьThe 30.06 was used to accomplish the north American super slam. By one of the contests.
ОтветитьI have taken cape Buffalo with 30.06, and almost everything in-between, superb round
Ответить30.06 is a versatile round and you can buy every round there is and of all game you may need 3 guns .308 is garbage, it's a repeat, best thing is to look how much the ammo costs. I remember a friend from school his dad had at least 30 rifles and shotguns.....overkill?
