Just brilliant. Takashi Miike is the best in his unique style. When I want to watch something new and unique I select a Takashi Miike movie. Brilliant movie.

The 50th film of Takashi Miike I've watched, and I've had to watched it twice to understand how arduous and complicated are the paths of the plot.
And this plot have more twists than a Christie novel. This director, when he really wants, can surprise with dramatic, dark and gloomy stories, far from his bizarre tales of fantasy; on this style I recommend his films Agitator, Sun Scarred or Shield of Straw.

An absolutely superb movie. Of course I must watch it again And not just because of the drop dead beauty of the actor portraying Maiko but also for the Japanese sense of yugen displayed in the film. If by chance many aren't familiar with this aesthetic concept, umm, please looki it up. Arigato

Long but good

Wow, a very good one. Miike oftenly surprises me. Some of his stuff is average or bad but then there are these extremely fine movies. Directing, acting, story, pacing, top notch.

I need to find every Miike film.
