Season 1 is extremely underrated. Not only was it funnier, it also had a more organic feel and Walter was more believable. Seeing him get into this business as a regular joe family man was more interesting. There was more of a struggle and internal conflicts that were very engrossing to witness

I really think the reason this show worked so well is that for most of season 1, we were all seeing Hal, which made the transformation that much more impactful.
