Did the sound quality also change after the update? I saw a few videos and posts saying that the sound quality changed and it's back to bassy like the Buds 3.

There are a number of people and review sites like GSMArena saying that after a particular software update, dynaudio preset was ruined. In your original review of Buds Pro 3, you have mentioned dynaudio preset as too bassy. It seems like you have tested after applying the update. It would be great if you could get another non updated unit of Oneplus Buds Pro 3 and check the original dynaudio preset.

How did these work in actual calls? You should call and leave yourself a voicemail to see how that works

Thats a major change. Wish brands ironed out such basic things like mic quality before release instead of after since these things affect buying decisions do much.

Sometimes you may want to have environment sounds included. At least Technics AZ80 have an option for this.

Did you test mic quality also using calls and not by recording video? Maybe it was fine with the old firmware, too, and the video shooting with BT audio is rare use case.

Its noise cancellation is amazing in voice recording.

Great video! I was just reading about how the microphone gets bad durring background noise, on an Amazon review.

This same issue (Buds pro 3 background noise durring phone calls) is said to be plaguing the new Pixel Buds Pro 2 as well! Hopefully a firmware update rolls out for them soon!

Hello everyone. Thanks for the video. I would like to ask if the sound is nice with a samsung s23 phone, or only with a OnePlus phone? As far as I know, the S23 does not support the LHDC codec. Can I use everything else in HeyMelody the same way with a Samsung phone (just the sound is not so good than another OnePlus phones?) ?

Just to put it out there if you are buying this earphone great sound quality, this is not the one, it has simply more bassy earphone. Nothing much, all the others things work as expected. But the earphones does not have great music.

This video locked my decision to buy oneplus buds 3 pro. I was using galaxy buds 2 pro for last 1.5 years. Thought it was time for an upgrade, buds 3 pro is such a minor upgrade and the fact that except for aac it only supports samsung's own proprietary sbc codec was a let down for me. So it was time for change and i need good mics, oneplus looked good with unique features. Saw ur old video mic quality was super bad, but thanks to you for this update video I was able to make my final decision

Damn that trade off for background noise cancelling in the call makes you sound like your underwater. Hmm.
