Ryzen Mobile 5000: AMD Claims Fastest CPUs Across the Board, Big Gains from Zen 3

I was wondering why the now Asus VivoBook with the 5000U in it was so cheap at 599.99 on Newegg?? It's Not really Zen 3 what a Rip and talk about being confused... So the 5500U is really the 4500U from what I take from all this.. So it's false advertisement. So what's improved from the 4500U and the 5500U????? I'm buying it.. It has from what the specs say, 6/12 cores and 16 gigs at 3200Mhz I'm assuming Dual channel, If they were mindful enough to use 3200 speed ram... I'll check back in and let you guys know....
I gonna pull the trigger.. It's a shame that it's Zen 2 but OH well. I'm still rocking the 2700X on my desktop with the X370 Taichi motherboard with 16gigs of FlareX at 3200 14T and very happy with that.
I haven't felt the need to upgrade my CPU yet, Even though I have a BIOS for the 36, and 3800XT chips.. It's the GPU I need to change.. I'm still rocking the RX480 4Gig. I bought a 4K monitor like a year before Navi2 and had the MSRP (and still do) money for the 6800XT set aside and could buy one.. I have been so pissed over the GPU situation.. WOW I Hot.. I got the $850.. I'm not paying double from a scalper.. I'll wait till the next Gen comes out before that happens.. I can still game in 1080P and up depending on Age of the game but this sucks..

I wanna buy a Hp convertible Laptop with a Ryzen 7 4700U but i dont know if i should wait for the 5700u? Is the wait worth it and how much will they cost in comparison?

Why are AMD's integrated GPU's not using RDNA 2 architecture? Surely if Samsung can use RDNA2 in mobile SoC's, they must be able to use them in their own CPU's.

bought a i9 10850k in november and paired with a 3090, havent encountered a game the rig even bats and eye at.

Cezanne functionally increased the L3 by the factor of 4. Renoir has 2x4MB, so a single thread can only access 4MB of L3. Cezanne has 1x16MB of L3 cache! So workloads like the dreaded Adobe PDF Benchmarks should be considerable faster than with Renoir. And the small cache was my major gripe with Renoir ... so everything is fixed now ... this is THE mobile chip to bring the heat to Intel.

Is there any way of comparing these numbers to Apple's new M1 chips? "Fastest CPUs Across the Board" is misleading if those M1 chips beat the new AMD CPUs. I'm not an Apple fanboy, but with that recent shake-up perhaps some comparisons in that direction would be helpful in future videos.

Didn't they jump to 5000 to avoid confusion in the nomenclature? Why didn't they just call the Zen 2 skus 4750u, 4550u and 4350u? If they had nothing else to sell, sure, a rebrand would help sales, but all of these are always going to be sold out no matter what, so why bother?

At least now they're calling their 5000 series mobile series chips the same number as the desktop ones! I bought a laptop with a 3500u in it last year thinking it was zen 2 but it was zen +!

Meanwhile Apple M1 efficiency is over the roof and able to beat both Intel and AMD in single thread workloads and in some multi-threaded workloads... Can x86 match Apple M1 in efficiency in near future??? This could be the reason Intel was working on Big.Little type of core architecture behind the scenes... x86 is aging architecture and too much of CPU resources wasted in backward compatibility...
