I think it’s fine how it is. I’ve used it a few times. It not very useful in multiple, for how small and fast the game moves. By the time you exit, the enemies could be on the other side of the map. But useful in large games like Ground War, Invasion or WarZone. Giving you markers, or general area where the enemies are at. Great tool for sniping.

I think the drone is good where it is balanced wise, it's not hard to notice the bright light pinging you or sound of it hovering over. Not enough people use equipment in my opinion

Recon drone is fine as is. It's hardly ever used even now.

In my testing, I wasn’t able to get the claymore on there. Did you have you jump first to place it?

I love the Drone all my friends wonder why I use it so much I have it attached to my sniper class just so I can read the field so much faster. I'm also glad someone finally touched on this subject as all other mentions regarding the drone are about a bug that hasn't been an issue in a while.

I watched Wildcat and Marksman video using the drone to deliver a bomb was hilarious. So me and my friend use that playstyle and have fun all the time.

Bombing downed sniper on high building in wz with a drone(or flying into exfil helo in dmz) is perfect way to kill enemies

I always use them in Warzone when I don't have a UAV the fact that you can park them makes it even better and reuse them again I like Warzone 1 they would get destroyed if you back out of it

I like how "countering" it means that the operator needs to press one extra button to achieve a mark on cold-blooded targets. DDoS is slightly better but nothing extraordinary. In my humble opinion CB users shouldn't have any diamonds at all and I wouldn't be mad if "disabled" meant that it can't move or see.
As for it's purpose, while it's passive operation isn't entirely reliable, manual spotting is extremely powerful if you have a teammate and good synergy. With me on the drone, there was a number of instances where I helped my friend get high-level streaks like Adv. UAV or the gunship.
Payload-wise, it's fun. Makes proxy and claymore dailies easy, too.

Thanks for the info on recon drone. I’m giving it a go in warzone.

It's perfectly balanced because no one uses it. Dead Silence or ammo boxes are so far and above more useful and consistent.

If it were a tiny bit faster and had more hp it would be more useful

Can you cover the under barrel shotgun?

Similar with the grenade launcher, it can be tuned but I can’t really tell if it has any meaningful difference.
