I'm not a doomsday prepper, but i guess i'm still a child at heart - if that is structurally sound i would buy this over a more conventional "luxury" house anytime. I think the same with abandoned underground train stations and all the other weird things that people no longer need. Give me a land buffer between me and any neighbours, a small house with hidden access - you know that would need a revolving bookcase or some cool entrance and turn the bunker into my hidden paradise away from all the horrible people.

Many of them were asbestos riddled, but that one has been surface treated with the cement spray, which was part of the care and maintenance plan, in case they were needed again. As said below - the ROTOR plan was based around a common design, with the bungalow - and the differences were mainly how many floors they had. Sadly, not just this one cost lives after they were abandoned. One around here had a similar fate, and one fully working one had a big fire and one of the firefighters died.

There is a nice example of these bunkers at kelvedon Hatch in Essex . its been turned into a museum and in working order worth a look on you tube ..

Better wear mask because a lot of cold war bunkers are full of asbestos and it is in the dust everywhere. Seen it in the old cold war bunkers in the south of the Netherlands near Maastricht.
