Hasani Sahlehe: R+D for Frieze New York

Presenting a short film about artist Hasani Sahlehe, whose work will be shown with Tif Sigfrids gallery in New York as part of Frieze Focus, of which Stone Island is the Official Partner.

Sahlehe is an Atlanta-based multidisciplinary artist and educator from St Thomas, US Virgin Islands, whose practice involves rhythmic abstract painting, installation and performance. His interest is in the natural and supernatural, involving surrender to chance and being present in the moment, as seen in his key work “Trying Green”, which is featured on special uniform T-shirts, the first in a series, designed for Frieze personnel to wear at the fair in New York and around the world.
