I prefer digital. It’s more convenient.
ОтветитьNot all types of books work well with digital. Anything with lots of pictures, graphs and the like don't work well digital. Also anything with instructions that you need to follow. But it is wonderful for novels or anything that is just words. I use both.
ОтветитьBooks are things, ebooks are wannabe things. That's the reason.
ОтветитьI acquired a Kindle in 2023.
I still prefer physical books. The e-version costs just tiny less.
And I cannot share a Kindle book unless I share my account
Both 🤷🏾 I like owning special books, things that I want to keep around. But I get library books and subscription rentals on my eReader. It's just like owning certain Blurays, but also streaming general movies and TV.
ОтветитьPhysical books never run out of batteries
ОтветитьI'm so on the fence. I read so easy on my Kindle, because it's so light, but I'd like to have a bookshelf of books one day.
ОтветитьThe price between too makes me buy more physical
ОтветитьE-books/readers are 'physical books.' You still physically interact with them as you would with paper books. The difference is one has words printed on paper while the other has words displayed on a tangible screen. Although, it takes more physical work to read a printed book since it's heavier, requires more effort to turn a page, and requires a stronger light source at night.
For me, e-readers annihilates paper books. The e-ink is much easier on the eyes with adjustable font and dim back/front lighting makes it easier to read in bed without disrupting sleep. Also, I don't have the room to display thousands of books. I never needed to touch and sniff paper to enhance my reading experience nor desire an ego stroke to show off my library. The paper waste and mass deforestation is not worth the tradeoff for a minor burst of dopamine when touching paper.
But these are just first world problems. If printed books are recycled and passed over to poorer people without continuously reprinting more books than will ever be sold, then they could still maintain their worth. I don't expect to see a real decline in paper books in my lifetime despite the increase of climate change. The world is not ready to accept the superiority of an e-reader.
Physical book makes your life long by destroying itself with nature,😢
Ebook makes its own life long by destroying your lifelong health!😅
I CAN EASILY CARRY MY EBOOK IN MY SMALL CELL PHONE!! REGULAR BOOKS TAKE.UP TOO MUCH SPACE!!
ОтветитьWhy Hardcover books?
Main reason: My freakin eyes can't stand e-books. They dry out quickly.
Besides, retention is much much better with physical books.
Imagine studying for college exams with only a Kindle.
ОтветитьI use a Kindle to be able to read, by changing font size to what I can read easily, as many of the books I want to read are in minute font. A hany thing to have in hospital as I have range of books i one small device. However, I still love reading real books.
Ответитьno matter what is your preference on reading, what more important is, you read.
but we can’t hide the fact that e-reader saves our precious trees nowadays💛
❤old school print
ОтветитьMany reasons;
*You need device to read e book, and it does not smell 😂
* You can't keep your e book in your room
* you can't touch your e book.
* When tech change in future you may lose your e-book but classic book will stay.
* You can lie on beach with your book and show that you are a reader, e book doesn't have that charisma 😂
* You can put something in your book but not in your ebook.
* When someone visit your home they see you read those books but you can't do this show with you ebook 😂
I read both electronic and hard copy books. I love reading the hard copy because I want to touch feel and highlight my books - yes, I like to write on my books, they are mine. 🎉❤
ОтветитьI love physical book
ОтветитьI prefer physical books cuz ebook hurt my eyes in long hours of reading.
ОтветитьIt doesn't help that usually ebooks cost the same or more than their physical counterparts. Also many ebook readers don't pay for their books so sales aren't a reflection of what's being read.
Ответитьi prefer ebooks for science and non-fiction, "real" books for fiction to get the best out of the two worlds.
Ответитьe-book readers are slow and glitchy as hell...pathetic.
ОтветитьPhysical books !!
ОтветитьYep, I have shard time with plot retention from e books.
ОтветитьI refer physical books to ebooks because my eyes strain because of the screen light.
ОтветитьI like actually owning my book
ОтветитьMy habit is 50/50 because a book doesn't need batteries and can go everywhere. Also, it can help you to relax before bed.
ОтветитьMost Physical book readers mostly to read for pleasure , while ebook is convenient for a reader that reads for the material inside what is writen for knowledge, research, opinion pieces etc etc
ОтветитьBooks just feel better and its less distracting so it’s easier to read
ОтветитьEverybody is a gang SA until they search for boxes and shipping companies just for books
Ответить3D is better than 2D.
ОтветитьA lot of people don’t buy their ebooks
ОтветитьEbooks are pirated. Physical ones are not. An ebook reader is a great tool for making reading affordable :D
ОтветитьPhysical books are the best.
ОтветитьJust like writing in stone, books will become obsolete. It's just a matter of when. E books are still lacking in many ways which is why it's still not mainstream enough to kill physical books.
ОтветитьPsyical books for me
ОтветитьAfter what happened to Clip Studio Paint , i'm so glad that i bought my physical cambridge dictionary , TOEFL and IELTS preparation books . i think i will buy more traditional stuff from now . you can't trust companies nowadays , they are capable of doing the most scummy things .
ОтветитьeBooks are not books
ОтветитьDon't need to charge it, no noise, no interruptions, you can take it almost anywhere, even in prison...
ОтветитьActually I am a big fan of e-books. I still love the paper versions but here's why I love my kindle and e-books more:
1. Kindle DOES NOT ruin your eyesight (as many think), it actually helps people read faster.
2. It's more comfortable to travel with Kindle. You can have as many books as you want in one device without taking much space.
3. I know physical books act as your trophies or decorations, but you can still keep them and see the beautiful covers after you read them on Kindle!
4. Kindle's battery lasts REALLYYYYY LONG. And I mean it. I read everyday for 2 hours or more, and my battery lasts atleast 2 weeks. Also the charging is very fast.
5. You can save so much money on e-books, because they are cheaper than the paper ones.
Overall my experience with Kindle is really nice, and I wouldn't start buying the physical versions again.
Physical books carry memories with them, that's why no other format can beat them.
Whe I read my +2 book or any other book then it reminds me that time too .
There is myriad of reasons why people may prefer physical books. However, I understand the appeal for e-reader. It’s practical. In my opinion, it’s futile to put them against each other.
ОтветитьThe fact so many are expressing the attachment of memory to printed books over E-books already speaks volumes. You don't read to forget, and while it can be convenient you don't choose to read simply out of convenience. Also, which do you feel you'd retain better information from: one you read conveniently, or one that comes with something that leaves a deeper mark to remember?
Ответитьbecause buying eBooks is a joke when you can pirate them 💀
Ответитьthe reporter is gorgeous!
ОтветитьMam,
I am interested in Books Typing,
Is there any Typing jobs?
I do both, my kindle is super useful as it lets me read books that are difficult to get physically like Stephen King’s/Richard Bachman’s RAGE, it also saves space in my bag when I’m traveling. Ebooks are also liberators for new authors that can’t break through into the traditional publishing route. However there is something quite nice and tactile about a physical book, with the ability to quickly jump to desired pages if you think you need to re-examine something in the text.
ОтветитьThe last book store Los Angeles My friend in Kentucky and Indiana told me about the store since Amazon killed their used book business.
ОтветитьWhy I like physical books, I need the encouragement of viewing the pages I have left to finish the book.
