Not done C64 Basic since the 80's, i remember the big fat basic manual, that came with the computer, don't get things like that today. had some good programs in it if i remember.

I don't know if you realise, but your nicknames Chaos and Rampage are the epitomy of cringey self determined nicknames. I would liken it to what a 12 year old would say. I do enjoy your videos, hence why I am subscribed, but would advise you to drop the nicknames. It makes watching very difficult.

you've inspired me to dig out the old c64 from the shed dust it off and revisit memory lane. Hope you do another challenge like this one it was great and hopefully he doesnt give up on that pong game he's not far off!!

just wondering if you have ever heard of overclocking a commodore 64 to increase speed and performance and if you have ever tried to do it? Would be a very cool project! I was thinking a good vs challenge to see who could overclock the furthest but i'm not sure it works that way for the c64 and if it does then it would really be a bit of a raffle to see who got the highest stable clock speed. Anyway if you try it don't fry your c64 that would be a catastrophy!!

Back in the days i have a programming book for the 64... typed a lot of data lines out of it and then... a balloon with a commodore logo flies around, that's it! :D

Ah, this brings back memories of typing in those LONG programs from computer magazines...and then finding there was an error SOMEWHERE (who knows where?), then spending the next hour or two going over the typed code. Still, good times!

One of the best type in programs was a BASIC compiler. Once you had the program typed in (and error checked), you could run it and actually compile the code for the program itself, making it MUCH faster (The first compile of itself took about 30 minutes!)

It’s a fucking Microsoft product, do I need to say more?! ;)
I got frustrated by it after about a year and I started learning assembler using, that KCS power cartridge monitor to write the code in :)
It may sound weird, but I found 6502 far simpler than basic. And I didn’t even gave the full assembler experience with that monitor.

I laughed so hard about the russian bribe ;)
