Beautiful song 🥺✨
ОтветитьOh my im finding all my childhood nightcore songs c: makes me happy
ОтветитьI really wish people would remember to give Mercedes Lackey the credit for this song, after all, its based off her books, and IIRR she wrote the song herself. Look it up sometimes, the Haralds of
Valdamar.
Que música incrível!
Ответитьcan someone write a novel about this song please
ОтветитьAh… no wonder…… Mercedes Lackey is a fantasy novelist… this type of music in the first place is a rarity, especially ones of this caliber, definitely one of my 4 favorite songs.
ОтветитьThe stars are very beautiful, above the palace walls,
They shine with equal splendour, still above far humbler halls.
I watch them from my window, but their bright entrancing glow,
Reminds me of the freedom I gave up so long ago.
The royal circlet of bright gold rests lightly on my brow,
I once thought only of the rights this circlet would endow.
But once I took the crown to which I had been schooled and bred,
I found it heavy on the heart, though light upon the head.
Although I am the head of state, in truth I am the least,
The true Queen knows her people fed, before she sits to feast.
The good Queen knows her people safe, before she takes her rest,
Thinks twice and thrice and yet again, before she makes request.
For they are all my children, all, that I swore to defend,
It is my duty to become both Queen and trusted friend—
And of my children high and low, from beggar to above,
The dearest are my Heralds, who return my care with love.
The dearest are my Heralds, swift to spring to my command.
Who give me aid and fellowship, who always understand
That land and people first have needs that I may not deny—
So I must send my dearest friends to danger—and to die.
A friend, a love, a child—it matters not, I know indeed,
That I must sacrifice them all if there should be the need.
They know, and they forgive me—doing more than I require,
With willing minds and loving hearts go straight to grasp the fire.
These tears that burn my eyes are all the tears the Queen can't shed,
The tears I weep in silence as I mourn my Heralds dead.
Oh gods that dwell beyond the stars, if you can hear my cry—
And if you have compassion—let me send no more to die!
thanks
ОтветитьWhy does this sound like something Ciri would sing if she ever became Queen in the Witcher?
ОтветитьThis song frustrates me, because it shows humanity knows attributes of a good leader and yet chooses so many leaders without those attributes.
ОтветитьWHO SAYS DIS SONG SHOULD’VE BEEN IN “Sofia the first” SAY I!!!!!
ОтветитьThis fits Artoria from Fate so well
ОтветитьDo you wear the crown or does it wear you?
Ответить😢🔝
Ответить“I found it heavy on the heart though light upon the head..“
ОтветитьHow did I only find this a few days ago? Its amazing
ОтветитьA lot of attention is given to Rights.
Not so much the Responsibilities associated with these Rights.
THis song feels BR!Theseus so much
ОтветитьJ'ai fait peur a ma mère elle pensait que je fesait une crise d'asthme parce que le jeux m'a fait flipper
ОтветитьThe sad truth of royalty...
ОтветитьNow this song match very well with final fantasy 16.
ОтветитьThere is no corrolation between this video and my future. Its all completely coincidental.
ОтветитьNice
ОтветитьDoes this remind anyone else of Zelda in BotW/TotK?
ОтветитьThe kind of queen a soldier will willingly give up their life for.
ОтветитьRule Britannia!
Ответитьthis soong reminds me of hunger games
ОтветитьShivers!! Amazing introduction to this channel!
ОтветитьAs a great man once said...."With great power comes great responsibility"
ОтветитьThe story of a girl who always wished of being a princess, sold her self to the king yo his sons bride. Only after taking on the duties of being a Queen aren’t all that great,
ОтветитьI love when the choice of words is so smooth in songs like this one. Amazing
ОтветитьI love comparing this song to Carolus Rex by Sabaton, its such a way to see the ideals of what a ruler is
ОтветитьWhy do I think of wolfblood when hiring this.

ОтветитьI'll be honest.
Back when I was reading this series whilst in grade school, I usually skipped/skimmed over the song parts. (Along with the Sex bits)
But upon hearing the songs, they were something that I admit are well written.
Im not the only one saying 'omg historia' at this right
ОтветитьWhy can't I find this on iTunes?
ОтветитьI'm hearing this song since 4h in loop
ОтветитьThis song makes me think of the Valdemar books by Mercedes Lackey, especially the Arrows Trilogy.
ОтветитьThis song sounds like something out of the "story of evil" series
ОтветитьThis song is written by Mercedes Lackey and is written about the fantasy books "Heralds of Valdemar" series. You REALLY should all read them (Arrows of the Queen, Arrows Flight, Arrows Fall are the first three). They are just AWESOME BOOKS! (Listen to Battle Dawn for the *REVENGE RAGE*).
ОтветитьThis is ideology that all leaders should learn
Ответитьthe narrator is struggling even if she was prepared for her role
imagine what it'd be like if all she was ever taught was how to be a good bride and wife but then suddenly she gets to be the ruler after all

.r.i.p. kaiserin maria and tsarina yekaterina you both will be sorely missed.. as are tsar pyotr and könig friedrich
Why is this not on spotify
ОтветитьActually, we shouldn't romanticize being a king or queen too much because it's a really beautiful thing. You can shape it according to the fantasies of a country. Taste all the pleasures you want and behead everyone you don't like. It's a beautiful life, but everyone wants it because it's such a beautiful thing, and on the downside, everyone is fantasizing about killing you and replacing you.
ОтветитьHail Selenay, Harald-Queen of Valdemar, whose grief is beyond measure.
