Now do a Monty horse sound.
ОтветитьAluminium, is how the French inventor of Aluminium spelled it, it's also how he pronounced it, and yet, the USA decided they know better.
ОтветитьLol I remember when he got his lips sucked into a vacuum cleaner haha
ОтветитьI think I would put one half on a vibrating lap table to polish it up.
ОтветитьОчень хорошо, что ты не порезался, резая это самостоятельно
ОтветитьKnow if only you could make another in a vacuum chamber, to reduce the air pockets while forming it.
ОтветитьKind of seems like the poor mans metallic foam, very cool!
ОтветитьThey do use just water on some softer materials so it definitely is part of the cutting force too, just less so on harder materials.
ОтветитьCan someone please explain what the"Ft." in "Ft. Waterjet Channel) means and is for??? I see this more and more on line and have NO idea what it is.
ОтветитьIF you haven't already polished the halves, I'd recommend you only polish one half. That way you can visually compare the two when on display.
ОтветитьI bet you could improve overall
density/porosity by starting to compress it even as you add more foil. I don't know whether you like the porosity or not, but I figured I'd mention the idea anyway, in case you wanted to change the end result. Also, as to cutting the ball in half, I bet one of the
' electrical discharge machining' (EDM) channels would love to collaborate and cut one in half for you! Anyway just an idea. Cheers!
You know a hacksaw would have worked
ОтветитьThat was frightening footage--I'm glad you sent it away.
ОтветитьIt’s like the moon🌕
ОтветитьHey Adam it’s not tin foil…. It’s aluminium foil🫵
ОтветитьThe abrasive material mostly used is called Garnet.
ОтветитьPutting the ball in a hydrologic press ŵould be cool
ОтветитьI love how excited Adam got what he threw off his glasses!
ОтветитьGarnet is used in some water cutters
ОтветитьNow try making a aluminum plate or rectangle using a hydralic hammer.
ОтветитьNow put them in resin.
ОтветитьAlternate caption to the thumbnail: "MOMENTS BEFORE DISASTER. Adam Savage plays with the demon core."
ОтветитьIt would be interesting to know what a HPP food pasteurizer would do the foil ball.
Ответитьthe ball in half on his table looks like boobs sitting flat down
ОтветитьThis dude is living his best life
ОтветитьThey put sand in the water jet
ОтветитьThat looks a lot like bone.
ОтветитьI've been waiting so long to see what the inside would look like! 👏👏👏💃💃
ОтветитьAs someone I looked up to for a good part of my life I am still dumb found it that you couldn’t cut it in half with all those tools in your shop my shop teacher in high school would’ve flipped out watching you try to cut it in half sandwich it between two boards cut right through all three the boards are there to hold it because nobody is stronger than a saw I was just thinking it would’ve been cool to get a core sample before cutting it in half I wonder throughout the years how many people Adam and MythBusters have inspired
ОтветитьHow you didn't make horse hoof noises with those two halfs is beyond me. 🤣
ОтветитьI too would like to polish this omg! I thought this bad boy would have layers like an oger 😅
ОтветитьAmazing that it wasn't full of Helum, Titanum, Calcum, Lithum, Plutonum, Cadmum, Radum ...
ОтветитьCould you do a video demonstrating the effects of gallium on the ball?
ОтветитьNext ball start with a small aluminum ball bearing for the center.
ОтветитьTry compressing one with shaped charges..
ОтветитьWhat’s the onlyfans link ?
Ответитьshould try an acid etch to see if any visible rings show up. maybe not the kind that show in Damascus steel, but the kind used to test welding dig.
ОтветитьPolish it!!
ОтветитьDoes anybody else think Adam savage is hot af ..
ОтветитьJust FYI, aluminum foil is 3105 alloy. It's also the same alloy they use for making RVs and Subway cars. Not to be confused with 3104 which is the alloy used for beverage cans (the sides, not the tops-that's 5182 alloy).
ОтветитьHope your careful with all that exposure to aluminum dust. Extremely toxic especially when it makes its way to the brain.
ОтветитьWhen he makes the second one, he can finally tell people to kiss his shiny aluminum balls.
ОтветитьI wonder if it'd machinable
ОтветитьI can't wait to complete my ones I've been doing using all the aluminium foil that goes out to the paddock in the lunch boxes on the farm over the last 4 years.
ОтветитьI'm so happy this video popped up and I was able to see the reveal after watching the making of the aluminum sphere.
ОтветитьNow make it back into a 200m roll of foil
ОтветитьI’m sorry, forgive me, but what the hell is the point?
Ответить
