Is Your PC Ready for a 1440p Monitor?

I’ve had a 4K144hz monitor since day one, my 3080 can barely keep up with it with decent settings. But it’s amazing and I’m not going to buy into Nvidias scalping prices. Just get a better card down the road from the used market

I’d go 1440p regardless of the GPU. You get significantly more screen real estate (when not gaming). And if your GPU is struggling in any game, you can just set your resolution to 1080p in that game

I have checked the bottle neck calculator with ryzen 5 3600 and rtx 2060 is it a good pair it is showing it has bottle neck of 0.02 for gaming on 1080 p screen

What about playing video content and movies on 1440p monitor instead of playing games? I am not a PC Gamer by the way.

With DLSS you can easily hit 60 fps in modern games. Ive been using a 5700XT for the last 3 years and i ran all games in 1440p

wdym im playing everything on 1440p , gow 2018 on high 70 fps, cyberpunk 2077 with rtx, rdr2 on everything almost max, doom whatever. its a literal 1440p card

I used to play on a 4K monitor with a GTX 680 at 60FPS on games like Assassin's Creed Origins and Anno 1800. If you are not willing to change a few settings, the 4090 is your only option

I have that exact combo and just got a 1440p monitor, and its all good. For someone like me who already plays cod on low settings to max out frames i get a stable 150-160 in MP and around 100-130 in WZ depending on the area of the map. AAA games i play like jedi survivor get anywhere from 30-80 fps depending on the area but this is at high settings. Totally go for it. 1080p will seem pretty blurry after you switch though lol

Explain me something: Playstation 5 has a GPU compared to the RTX 2070, and they advertised 8K graphics prior release. They advertised 4k at 120FPS... I don't see anyone in the PC world talking about 4k gaming, as if this was something so legendary to do, that you could only achieve with alien technology, so, my question is: Who is lying and why people keep buying new GPU models if they're not delivering actual improvements?

Running 3060 with 3800x on 1440p medium to high getting 120-160 in most games. Gonna upgrade to 5800xd3 soon. Wanted to build a 7800x3d build and put my 3060 in it but its too expensive
