I have given the original prop eye a pass on viewings of the movie, and for a not commonly mentioned reason which I will explain in a second, but first I give props for the CG version shown in the video which I watched to the end btw, great work CORDZ, the reason I let it slide when I watch T2 is it's not because he was slammed into a wall by a solid beam alone, but because right after losing his arm, and then getting his power cell or cells pierced, he had went into a reserve power mode, so he likely would not want to waste his reserve backup power on excess movement or features that may not work anymore, like the servos in that eye, we also do not see his missing arm moving that much ether, and he seems to be limping on one side in the end, I know it takes more from a viewers imagination, but that was part of what made T2 a great movie for me, viewer engagement, and that it blended the practical with the CG, and that in effect let the viewers imagination process the story in some regards.

Someone finally saw T2 and said it had no plot? Dumbest thing I've heard since someone said it should've been Dave Spade when Chris Farley died of drug O.D. I mean, wtf Chris!? I suppose he put it we in Tommy Boy, Jeez I'm an idiot!

The window in the truck is one thing , but if they fixed this they should have fixed the trucks right wheel as well. In the next shot it magically had a front end alignment.

Any update? did any better visual effects artists replace the eye in 3D with fully matched tracking and lighting

this looks much worse then original one. it's jittering and it doesn't look realistic at all

I figured with the eye, it was due to the smashing the skull took earlier in the film when the T-1000 literally smashed it between that makeshift ram and the wall, it caused the eye to seize up due to it getting literally compacted into the skull. It is admittedly a bit of cope, but it helped keep myself in the film when I was young. That said, I love what you did, it's simple... it's effective, and as uncanny and disturbing as it is, it's how you'd envision it being in real life, looking at a machine beneath the man. I also hate how the T-800 endoskeleton has become less and less terrifying as I've gotten older.... Lighting and visual effects people... come on!

I do not care what any says this will forever be one of my favourite movies. It is a perfect blend of action and story.

Awesome job! You can now feel that there's more emotion in the actual T800, as opposed from it all coming from the flesh bodied Arnie side of the character, if that makes sense. Just from his eye now tracked, looking at Sarah and then down to John, you can see it's the machine that actually cares. That's what I get from this anyway lol 😂 Subbed! 👍

Fix the t1000 dummy on the back of the cop car when they break out of the prison.

I prefer the first Terminator. Why couldn't the eye be damaged and stuck in place I mean it's valid.

Is robot actually need moving eye? We dont have that in cameras, so why should it be in terminator? You need moving prosthetic eye to look like human but under it actual eye should stand still.
And for me his big broken eye was symbolic like his robot nature is broken.

I like both but my feeling towards the character kind of differ.
-The original eye makes me feel a bit of pity cause it tells me how bad his current state is.
-On the other hand, the "fix" makes him look bad ass and showing his last strength.
Obviously, I would go for the first one as it accomplished the original intend. :D

Is there a remake for the 1984 (First Terminator) movie? That one needs a bad redo on the CGI. The stop motion walking through the factory kills me.

why does a robot eye have to move, maybe the robot eye has super wide and tall vision compared to the human eye and doesnt have to move to see everything in front of the face.

It's just damaged and not moving.

Okay but sorry I actually don’t like T2 at all. Don’t care for seeing the T-800 turned into Mr. Mom and putting up with the most annoying kid in film history. The first one is much better, a perfect movie.
