How do I Flashback Bios without Flash button? Please badly needed help 😢
ОтветитьI first got a solid LED liked mentionned in the video. After doing this the LED is blinking endlessly. Using a USB2 32gb. Tried multiple times, the LED keeps blinking without stopping. Any idea?
ОтветитьThanks, this really helped me with my Asus ROG Maximus Z690 Hero
ОтветитьThank you very much! It worked for me and my Asus tut gaming x670 e plus Board! 😊
ОтветитьVery helpful, indeed !
ОтветитьExcelente tutorial!
ОтветитьIs it safe to take out the usb when the light is solid?
ОтветитьI have an asrock b650m rs wifi pro mobo and when i go to post, the CPU and DRAM lights come on. Only the latest bios version supports my ram, so i try and flash and when i press the flash bios button nothing happens! Tried reformatting the usb many times on multiple usbs. Any advice?
ОтветитьUPDATE: The BIOS in Gigabyte motherboards does not allow updating from all pendrives, even if they are formatted correctly in FAT32 filesystem. Some media are recognized in the BIOS as Floppy, not as HDD - the symptom is that when using the QFLASH button, the LED on the media flashes, but no update takes place - the LED on the motherboard does not work. In this case, just use a different medium.
ОтветитьI had tried 10 times but didnt success until I watched this video. Thank you so much
Ответитьhelped me! THANKS MATE
ОтветитьLegend. Thanks for this!
ОтветитьHello. I have another problem on MSI b550m bazooka. The led on flash bios blinks 2 times and after that 5 times more. Then stop blinking and do nothing. I've tried 3 different USB drives. Bios was wrote on them properly with right way of renaming. I would be pleased if you advice me what to do.

Hello, thanks for sharing. I have a problem: I updated my motherboard B450 to a Asus B550-Plus Wifi II and set everything (CPU, GPU, etc, etc) and when I tried to start with the new mobo It did not start up the CPU and no fans spinning, just the RGB from the mobo and a red light indicating power over the GPU.
I tried to update the BIOS with Flasback but in the first try didn't work because I prepared the USB Flashback with a Mac and coudn't run the scrypt to change correctly the name of the file from the BIOS. So, I went out and bought a new USB and this time on a PC, came back to try for a second chance (I interrupted the first attempt by holding 5 sec the power button) and this second time is still flashing... 40 min by now... any suggestions? It won't stop blinking in different rythms.
Whats funny, I had a correct penvdrive which was showing correctly but still my pen drive wasn't flashing. I followed those steps and it helped anyway.
ОтветитьMike can you do a video where you purposefully brick a motherboard by interrupting the flash process and then use BIOS Flashback to rescue the bricked board back to life? I also want to see if the board will open and show the CrashFree error prompt for you to insert a USB stick to correct the issue or if you will just have a dead board. I have the ASUS Prime B650M A-II CSM and it has BIOS Flashback, I'm just terrified if the process doesn't work if I can flashback a version earlier or try the process again indefinitely without being afraid of having to RMA. Thanks!
ОтветитьI have tried everything and the light stays solid. Please help
ОтветитьYou're the best man
ОтветитьThis is so annoying to flash because i need to have another computer to try to simply update my mobo. And I got the solid light...
ОтветитьHi mike i am using usb 3.2 drive but when i put my pendrive into motherboard and press flash button it light's up only one time than nothing happened further can u give me solution i am very confused what to do now
Ответитьno one answer an important question: can the pendrive be removed while the light isnt blinking and its on, or you must first shut down de psu before doing it?
ОтветитьIt still doesn’t flash
ОтветитьOh my god! Mike, you just saved me some money and throwing away a perfectly good motherboard! I nearly purchased a B450 TUF Gaming as a replacement for a recently bought MSI B550 VDH Wifi. I always get a VGA led from that one. I've always thought it was a BIOS problem so I followed your instructions in another video to use the flashback feature, but yet somehow since unable to get this thing to post. I also slightly damaged the board so RMA sadly isn't an option anymore. I then resigned there likely was a problem with the PCIE so I just told myself last night "Ugh, whatever. I'll just get a cheaper B450"
So this is the actual problem. All this time I thought BIOS flashback was working because it seemed to be blinking normally and stops after 4-ish minutes. Who knew it was the drive's format that's the culprit. Delighted now to see it went straight to BIOS when all's said and done.
After watching this video i feel a bit silly.
I am well aware that the masterboot record is the standard for reading an USB from within the BIOS but i never thought of this while having these flash problems.
As a result i trashed 2 different motherboards for that reason which were probably easy to repair ....
i never knew should be mbr format usb memory. i was been tried to flash my msi motherboard bios update unsuccessfull before but i didnt know it should be mbr format. It was probably gpt .
ОтветитьGreat video. Recently i watched one of your older videos on updating BIOS on a GIGABYTE mobo without anything on it just the 24pin and cpu 8pin.
So i follwed your guide and i updated the BIOS on my GIGABYTE X670E AORUS MASTER before i put in a Ryzen 7950X3D on it. And the updating of the BIOS using the Qflash Plus button on the back of the mobo went perfectly. I just inserted the USB drive with the latest BIOS file renamed to GIGABYTE.bin and then i with only the 24pin and one cpu 8pin i pressed the Qflash Plus button on the mobo's back side and the my PSU immediately turned on and the LED started to flash fast and after a little time it was flashing slow. So i left the system alone for a while to do it's thing and if i remember i think it switched off after it was done updating the BIOS. So it was phenomenal to witness it in person without anything on the mobo just the 24pin and a 8pin power cables connected. It's pretty wild in my mind. Lol 😆
