I do like Waffle House, BUT!!! It's really the cooks that matter. I have been to many; some cooks are good, some are not as good. Also, I tell them I like my shredded potatoes a little crunchy but not so that they are all one solid piece. I prefer the Philly steak sandwich with onions, and when I add bacon, I want it crunchy, and I put chili on my hashbrowns.  ... Waffle House is very good at making your meal the way you want it !

Another good thing about WH is they are not cheap, and they hand you one tiny napkin; there is always a napkin holder at each table. ... I grew up and on cold days I would get tomatoe soup and Grill Cheese Sandwitchs for a quick lunch. ... I worked nights a long time, and them being open 24/7/365 just make them perfect ... But be sure to take him to IHOP is a great breakfast as well.
