I love that I bought my Tesla online and did not pay over MSRP or get some slimy car salesman lying to me. Dealerships really suck

How did you get your air suspension to go so low?

I put on a MPP lift kit and year and a half later I'm replacing the lower lateral assemblies on both sides as the bushings are shot, + alignment cost. The service center said it was due to the lift kit and therefore not covered by warranty.

Feels like a convenient scape goat to me - that being a lateral arm bushing being adversely affected by a vertical lift...but what can I do? Must pay..

Do you know if you can void the warranty by using smaller 18" wheels on a performance Y model.? I might have to upgrade to performance model but I want 18" wheels

I have a model y performance with a tow hitch and was thinking of getting airlift air ride installed. Question is was your towing affected negatively with air suspension?

Yesterday Tesla voided my warranty for having coilovers. I went in with the control arm issue. I agree they shouldn't void the warranty but they have and won't even look at it now.

Would this new adjustable suspension you have be as good as the previous set up for overloading, if you had it raised up all the way? or would you go back to your earlier suspension if you were going to drive in the dirt again?

Yea I fixed mine with a grease needle, you can stick it under the seal without breaking it.

Took the wheel off, unbolted the upper, wiggled it around a bit with the new grease and the noise is gone!

My car is Salvaged and out of warranty so had to fix or buy a new one :)

Here in Sweden they void the warranty maybe not the entire car but drivetrain that's a warranty u want 😎

Nice to know, personally I asked and the first tesla guy told me any mechanical "upgrade" I do voids all warranties, even a wrap, ngl think he was an idiot, the next guy at a new location from tesla, they told me basically the same thing you told me (the video) and I'm glad, cause I wanna do air ride but I don't wanna lose my battery warranty

I had that same issue with my Model 3. I had to drive 3 hours away and they replaced both of the upper control arms. Only charged me for parts and not labor even though it was out of warranty.

The Magnusson-Moss Warranty Act makes it illegal for them to void entire warranties when you make unrelated changes. They still have to warranty it unless they can point to your modifications as being the cause of the issue.

On my 2018 performance model 3 I had 63k miles, tracked the car, it was lowered etc. they replaced them under warranty free and said it’s a known issue.

I think if you live in any state besides California Tesla service is awesome! California is another story 😷😬😬😬

Tesla Service?? What's that?? I can't even get TWO Recalls fixed since 4 months ago, not to mention the XM Radio stations mixed up. After a flat tire at my house, they (roadside assistance) would not fix it, but wanted me to go find a tire shop. There is no Tesla Service from what I have experienced. Worst car service and No communication I have ever had in owning cars for 50 years! (2021 MSP). Can't wait to get ride of it !

I had my upper control arms replaced on the Model X P100D for the same thing, they made me pay, said I was out of warranty even though it was because they didn't reseal it in time before it ran out (because the goo was out of stock)

They did cut me a brake, had to take it in and they did align it which is where most of my costs were.

Time to buy Tesla shares
