XCOM : Can You Beat ENEMY WITHIN With Only 1 Soldier?

When you do get around to XCOM 2 if you are doing war of the chosen you may need to have a husband and wife (M/M or F/F) take on advent with some minor background characters (for infiltration missions) because of the tired mechanic.

If you're allowed to make meat shields, then make your meat useful: upgrade them outside of combat to get as tanky/fast/dodging/juking as possible. Then you'll have enough meat mass in the meat shields to out-meat that mission. Yep, that'll be A WHOLE LOT OF MEAT. Pudge from Dota and the Butcher from Diablo/HotS are reeeaaally happy.

I would have gone for "In the Zone" since you have the move and shoot ability. It allows to clear any amount of weak aliens with a pistol and use the rifle until its empty.

Maybe the sniper could work better with flying armor and the 'In the Zone' and 'Higher Ground skills. Then get up high so all the aliens are flanked, have a hard time landing any shots, and line up to be taken out 3-5 at a time.

Or maybe try it with an assault class with reaction fire

this would be more fun if you could use other soldiers as long as the one you designated couldn't die

In the Halo Games you also just try to survive on your own with no other soldiers most of the time.

If you decide to repeat this challenge in XCOM 2, perhaps that you'll find its execution to be a little easier.

Last impossible mission: Why are the soldiers on the ground floor? Major rule of this mission is to get to the high ground (second floor) ASAP.

The phrase "never look a gift horse in the mouth" refers to how a person would be able to tell how old a horse was by checking its mouth. The idea was if it was given to you as a gift then you shouldn't care how old it was, it was a gift. Basically, a gift is a gift no matter the quality.

Imagine if ever playthrough was a part of the XCOM multiverse, there's a multiverse where chief is the sole protector of humanity

One day I will actually play this game. I've been meaning to for a long time. Even had it for awhile, but I've only ever seen my brother play it... and well he sucks at these types of games.
