Why do you wear a helmet when you’re biking but not when you’re hiking?
ОтветитьWhy did you choose the sonics?
ОтветитьThese are now in the Amazon Prime Uk sale! Just came back to the video to check your recommendations😎
ОтветитьDoes it rain much in Scotland?
Michael great vid as always. Thanks.
I have tried the Shokz lineup and can say they sound very "inside your head" to me. I don't think it's just the fit. I hope that for the price the Suunto are indeed a step up from them.I really prefer an unbranded set that I got on Ebay and am still curious who will come out with a review and just say "better than shok......
ОтветитьI was recently torn between going with Nank or Shokz, very helpful video.👍
ОтветитьI'm looking for BC headphone or open ear one that has 3.5 aux in (or at lest usb input, not just charging).
Do you know if anyone produces such models?
Cool tech for sure but I don't want to deal with batteries dying after a year of use.
Give me a Wired version for cheaper and I'll be glad to benchmark it against my loved iem.
I have the same issue with earbuds. Only the ones with wing tips / fins can actually stay in somewhat.
ОтветитьDoes the led continually stay on or blink while connected, if so can the led be disabled?
Ответитьcould there be a bone conduction headphone with studio reference sound?
ОтветитьCan the battery be replaced by the user, 10 years from now if needed?
ОтветитьShokz make them too. None are going to work for audio production because they sound different depending on where you place them each time you put them on.
ОтветитьNeat video. Just bought them and wanted them to work but I do not understand that product. I am not audiophile at all but they sound like a very old tape. Very flat, unpleasant tinny, like through a funnel. I do not like the sensation or that vibration shortcut through the bone either. Sad to return them after 5 minutes. Like the looks of it though and the fit.
ОтветитьWhich one you like it
Sonic or wing ??
I have for almost ten years used Shokz bone-conducting headphones for listening to audio books while exercising. The quality is fine for speech but not for music.
Ответить"The auricle (pinna) is the visible portion of the outer ear. It collects sound waves and channels them into the ear canal (external auditory meatus), where the sound is amplified."
ОтветитьExcellent video, you covered all aspects. Thank you.
Ответитьwhat your hair care routine? looks amazing
ОтветитьThere’s no for UK ?!
ОтветитьI love your videos if just for the fact you don't yell "HI GUYS!!!"
ОтветитьBut I wanna conduct the whole orchestra not just the 'bones
ОтветитьThese bone conduction headphones seem to be a bit of a con. They are described as having a transducer which sends vibrations to the cochlea via the jaw bone. This implies they are silent unless they are in contact with your bones. Actually though there is no transducer, but a loudspeaker in a sealed waterproof coating. Sound waves are thus transmitted in two ways, through bone and through air. In other words, they can be heard by nearby people.
Also, the frequency response is very limited, they sound very thin.
I bought two expensive pairs and sent them both back.
Michael, why are you supporting this con?
This is perfect for me! I have damaged ears, so I shouldn't wear earplugs or headphones straight up- but I also have auditory processing issues that are like super senses and way worse so I choose pain over that. I am GETTING THESE It is exactly what I need.
ОтветитьSbonge 🙌🏾
ОтветитьI bought a pair of Trekz Titanium bone conduction headphones some years ago in a running shop, and they're still working well and holding their charge. I use them all the time, even around the house when doing chores etc. so I can listen to podcasts and audiobooks. You're right about the bass cut, although I was intrigued to see the bass port idea and I wonder how much difference that would make. The guy who sold me mine was hearing impaired, and actually had bone conduction implants. His hearing aid consisted of a pickup device that plugged into a socket on his skull. He showed me, and it was amazing, like he was a kind of cyborg :) He said it had really changed his life to be able to hear so clearly. I guess he must have had a middle ear issue of some kind but his inner ear worked perfectly so it was a good solution for him.
ОтветитьThis could be good inside motorcycle helmet.
ОтветитьGosh I feel like I'm watching a good BBC documentary with your bicycle footage.
ОтветитьHave you ever tried those vests with subwoofers in them? These kinda remind me of those
ОтветитьThat frequency adjustment demonstration was exactly what people need in a review about such devices. It would be interesting to see your opinion if Shokz are any better, and the pros/cons of air conduction with similar auditory sample comparison.
ОтветитьI was so surprised to see you on the beyerdynamic website
ОтветитьI’ve often wondered about getting this type of headphone before but was unsure of the audio quality. Your EQ example was awesome and gives me confidence that this type of headphone can be used out in the wild … for me, that’s grocery shopping when I want to be aware of what’s around me. Thanks for this!
ОтветитьHey Michael,
Thanks for the review. One thing I've been curious about is how much 'noise leak' would you say these have? For example, if someone were to wear these out in public, be it at the local gym, or wearing it in a subway or train or on a plane, is there noticeable noise leak that you could hear music playing on someone who is next to you, 5 feet away, etc.?
I've been interested in these types of headphones, but also feel like I don't want to become part of the noise pollution problem in public of subjecting others to my music out loud. Any thoughts on how much noise others would pick up around you if you wear these in more public areas? Like would this be acceptable for cycling but rude to be sitting next to someone on public transportation with? Thanks in advance.
You should test some kinda haptic system like a SubPac, I've wanted to get one of those bass kickers for awhile just because they're alot cheaper (those aren't portable though). I think there's alot of potential for haptic technology in sound. Like haptics in phones for instance (because they lack low end)
ОтветитьHello sir, I saw Your videos and that was Very Nice.. Could You Please teach a Advance Vocal Processing Technic with FL Studio Stock Plugins...If You Show Me How To Do Advance Vocal Processing That Will be very nice for me.. Thank You Sir.
ОтветитьThorough as usual. When you go to an audiologist (to get earplug impressions made) you can also have this bone conduction test and a bunch more done. Anyone serious about a life with music should do this at least once to baseline their hearing, and learn about hearing protection that works for your lifestyle. Good luck all.
Ответитьhow are these versus the Shokz brand?
Ответитьi have both and i once put on my bc and earbuds at the same time, playing the same song and it was .....interesting
ОтветитьCode works on Amazon in US. Ordered Sonic. Thanks!
ОтветитьClip on headphones(I like panasonic rphz47) are a cheap alternative that are more ergonomic/less sound fatigue for like $15 if you dont have $100+ for music
ОтветитьProper review mate
ОтветитьI was using bone conduction headphones while in the army toom any years ago... this technology is not new to me at all 😂😂😂. you're description is excelent, by the way.
ОтветитьI think you failed to emphasize one very important point for these considering what your channel is about. Can you recommend these solely for listening to music?
You answered the most important question; how does the music sound. But what it actually means in practice? What I mean is that when your ears are open to everything, how does that "everything" interact with the music? Does one drown out the other? Does it depend on the volume of either the headphones or outside sounds? How the volume affect these, especially the frequency response and how loud these even go?
I hope to get a bit more in-depth analysis from these on that front! I think you'd be the first qualified sound engineer to ever having done that, if you will.
Can you EQ them to get the bass on par with other headphones?
Ответитьi suffer the same problem as you did, even got 'swimmers ear' last summer because I sweat so much, this is perfect. I'd heard of them but never tried them as I was worried they were a gimmick.
Ответитьthe discount codes do not work
ОтветитьNice to see a sound engineer making a review of these. I’ve been curious of the sound quality and if they would work when you record vocals in the studio. (To minimise bleed thru from monitors or ordinary headphones.)
Ответитьi guys is me i watched the whole video
Ответить
