Oh what a joy! Enjoyed the b/w Ealing movies that were shown on Turner Broadcasting Station back in the 80’s and 90’s. So glad the BBC produced these radio shows and that they are now available here at the Mystical Magpie!

I wonder if they chose the name mrs Wilberforce because the film was made in Wilberforce road, off the Caledonian road in north London. The house was a prop and behind it you could see kings cross station.

General Gordon the Parrot by, who else? Johnny Morris (Animal Magic)

Aaaw 'Animal Magic' with Johnny Morris, loved that programme as a kid.
