"NO LEAKS" yeah... thats not really true - many have issues with valve cover gaskets leaking.
ОтветитьIve got a 99 gs400. I got it April of 2022 with 199k miles. It now, in August 2023, has 238k. I drive 100+ miles a day. I do the occasional burnout and swing it every now and then. Routine maintenance, and its never given me any problems. Already been the best vehicle that ive ever owned...by far!
ОтветитьEngine good while rest of car falling apart. Not as good as MBs.
ОтветитьSo if I’m looking to swap a 1uz into my ‘92 pickup… but not looking to significantly modify the 1uz for max power, but rather build to prioritize reliability… is it safe to say the VVT version is the better choice?
Ответить1UZ-FE.. miss you. Loved that SC 400 dumped on Tein SS, and Volk Racing Staggered Forged... Bae.
Ответитьis a 3uz an interference engine?
ОтветитьNararater sucks.
ОтветитьToyota is the best car manufacturer in the world.
ОтветитьIf im not wrong theres a f40 replica that uses a 1uz
Ответитьpass———ill take the Toyota 5.7L Tundra engine that can go 1 million miles
ОтветитьThese engines are great! I have a 3uz in my mk2 supra, video's on my channel 👍
ОтветитьWOW very kool great info.,,1st class AAAAAAAAAAA++++++++++++ again great video I liked it a lot keep up the great work.
Ответить1UZ. If I ever get tatoo, that'll be this. On Lexus logo.
ОтветитьTough as. 🙏🙌
Ответитьقاهرتهم 🎌 مرعبتهم🎌
ام الصعايب ام اللهايب🎌⚔️
Bought a 91 LS400 for $650 with 232000miles and with only oil changes drove it till 292000mi. 7 years later still absolutely in love with the engine
ОтветитьLS1 is most reliable V8. Then LS2
ОтветитьHaving run a limousine company for roughly 25 years, the 4.6 liter V8 that the Ford Motor company put in the Lincoln Town Car (I don't know if they still do) was virtually indestructible. IF maintained properly. 300,000 miles easy, often much more. The rest of the car would fall apart before those engines went.
ОтветитьBetter than any modern plastic BMW engine
ОтветитьThe only reason he's telling you about the 1UZFE, 2UZFE and 3UZFE is because I told him about it.
ОтветитьPero la carrocería da pena , siempre será solo un Toyota de plástico
ОтветитьThe letter is "ZED" . Not zee like the wrong American pronunciation . Learn to speak English , man ..... If you can .
ОтветитьEven before clicking on this I thought ' Japanese ' for sure.
ОтветитьI beg to differ it's interference engine. A stupid 60$ part destroyed my engine.. hydraulic timing belt tensioner that had to be removed to change alternator and a month later the belt slipped off somehow after doing some donuts and bang valves bent engine dead.
Ответитьjustice for targeted individuals!!!
ОтветитьI had a 97 Ls400 and I miss it a lot. Had Jag and Merc V8’s since and nothing comes close.
ОтветитьI had a SC400 with the 1UZ v8. I miss the car a lot. It had something about it which just felt right. It was not super powerful but that engine was smooth.
Ответить350s can go longer as well also ls etc
ОтветитьSo then 1-UZ short engine with 3-UZ heads seems like the way to go for a Daily Driver that can ALSO be VERY BLOODY FAST and trouble free . Yes ?
ОтветитьSo really, you want a 2uz block 3uz heads and 1uz internals 🤔
ОтветитьAnother V8 that was incredibly reliable was the chevrolet LS small block with the cathedral port heads 4.8 5.3 6.0 litre versions and reliability that would rival anything made overseas for quite a bit less cost
ОтветитьThe most rugged and nearly indestructible engine in automobile history, is the Chrysler low deck B Engine (350, 361, 383, 400).
ОтветитьPut it into the 300 series Landcruiser
ОтветитьYet they manipulate us to give up these supreme autos and buy crappy EVs.
ОтветитьSaw a video where these kids held a million mile ls400 at redline for ages until it died. And then a few minutes later it fired up again
ОтветитьI used to drive an LS400, by far the best car I ever had
ОтветитьWell there always is the LS1; Nissan VK. Excluding the Modular engines, and Chrysler NA/Magnum engines.
ОтветитьLS engine:
Yes, yes... fuck me🙄
A 90s SC400 is one of the very few cars I consider a true classic. I've always wanted to own one. Maybe someday after I win the lottery I'll add it to my car collection. 🤣
ОтветитьShit Fuel economy and week rods (2UZ)
ОтветитьA thicker head gasket will LOWER compression; not sure how that will raise potential.
ОтветитьToo much junk to go bad too much wiring too much cheap aluminum we're still needs to be
ОтветитьWhat you do is you find an old war out Chevy truck with a 350 4 bolt main and you go to the desert and you line that car up with that truck and whoever comes out at the other end is the winner and I got my money on the truck
Ответитьthis was my dads car he had the coach edition in two tone black and grey. may god his his soul.
ОтветитьIs this the same engine that Toyota in their infinite wisdom decided to place the starter motor in the v of the engine, underneath the intake plenum, resulting in hours and hours of labour to just replace a starter?? That alone and the fact that there are V6 motors of the same era that make more power and torque places it pretty low on my scale of greatest V8’s ever… It’s really somewhere between mediocre and, garbage..
Ответитьdefinately not strongest
ОтветитьI'm building the early 1uz in my Soarer right now
Intercooled supercharger and water/meth
The one in my pic
I have a grand marquis with the 4.6 V8.
The LS400 was my 2nd choice.
I'm happy with the 4.6 but got a tune and added some performance parts to it. It's a solid motor with many going 1 million miles without any major repairs.
Yawn. This sums up this engine. A long lasting stock low power engine doesn't however making a car good. Or the engine. In fact, I would rather take the transit than drive any Toyota with a few minor exceptions. True engine quality to me it's a championship winning LeMans 24 hrs engine, proved over many many years, like the Mezger, not something barely moving at a leisure rpm value on the way to the local Bingo club. Yeah, I never got this myth of "super reliability" from Toyota, I've seen plenty with the hood up on the side of the road in my life. Must be an american thing, when the Japanese cars started coming to US and they were compared to a US made POS ..sure, they're better. But the strongest? Nope, sorry. I can say the same thing about an tiny ALH TDI engine that can do 1 million miles but it doesn't make it "the strongest". And tuning a few powerful engines for limited use (no more long service on those, right?) again doesn't make it "great". It's just a lazy engine with some over engineered features. Way better engines out there, even V8s. More research needed boys and girls, I know it's so hard to shake the 2JZ behind the barn tuned urban legend and start focusing on professional Motorsport to see the true greatness. Eventually people are reaching that stage in life when they are done watching F&F and play NFS on a PS and hit a real racetrack with a proper car. Cheers!
