Gathering = fruncir (spanish)
ОтветитьHi!
If i had to pick one?
"BUTTON JUMPER"
Id used this trick the most!
The pocket hack blew me away
ОтветитьDo you have a link to share the pattern for the gorgeous silk skirt or could you make us a tutorial for the skirt? It’s so beautiful! Plus, your teaching skills are sublime.
ОтветитьHigh value tips, thank you
ОтветитьYou are great.
ОтветитьI have NEVER had the guts to use a razor blade!
ОтветитьThe button tip and the pocket tip - excellent tips. The other ones, I think you have to be a pretty good seamstress to pull those off without a hitch. I need to perfect the last one, where you made the adjustments to the pants at the crotch - I've needed to do this one so many times and I've never been truly happy with the results. Thank you.
ОтветитьLoved how you explained things in a straightforward but good-humoured way. I'm really into altering my clothes to get them to truly fit and flatter, but I'm only at the more basic stages of hemming garments and replacing linings. But the difference it makes has generated lots of requests from friends and family. The crotch trick is excellent, it shows how casual clothes can fit our non-model-perfect bodies so they really flatter. Never seen anything like it.
ОтветитьThe word in English you're looking for is "ease". You ease it in, not a pleat of gather. Love your channel.
ОтветитьThat little white dress, that was SO CLEVER! I'll bet she wore that proudly that night as she went out on the town.
ОтветитьCould "easing" be the word you look for? Easing is what you do when you put in a "set in" sleeve. Also easing is when you gather to put a larger piece into a smaller piece and don't leave any visable gathers or pleats.
ОтветитьThe stitching called basting stitch for gathering
ОтветитьThank you for your Video! The Crotch adjustmend was mindblowing! I love it. I tried it direkt after seeing this Video and it fits perfekt! Greetings from Germany ❤
Ответить❤ love all you tips. Have used them all. 😊
ОтветитьI've been putting off taking in a dress of mine because I can't be bothered dealing with the pockets. I couldn't believe it when I saw your tip. So easy and common sense, when you think about it. Thankyou so much.❤
ОтветитьGREAT TIPS!!! and I NEEDED these too. Thank you. That button trick with the jeans is gonna be very helpful.
ОтветитьWe call that gathering method "easing in the fulness "
ОтветитьVery good
ОтветитьI’ve found when taking in a seam, it’s easier to try clothing on inside out…and then pinning or marking the seam.
ОтветитьOn the dress with baby darts you are easing, which is when you pull the threads.
ОтветитьI so love this. ❤Embeber on Google says it’s Portuguese and means soak in English? LOL
ОтветитьWOW you are professional you know how to fix it. My issues all the time is the pants at rear is big how can I fix it? Thank you for reply..........The word in Spanish is fruncir - gather.
ОтветитьGracias por los trucos, tu tiempo y tu generosidad!!!
Saludos desde España.
Yes you have permanent headspace, thanks for the tips I'll be thinking of you for the rest of my days 😂🥂
Ответить❤❤❤❤❤❤
ОтветитьWard is easing .
ОтветитьIs the word you're looking for, 'ease'?
Ответитьuhhhh you do know that your machine has a built in needle threader, right???
ОтветитьYou are such a treat to watch and learn from, and that pocket trick is EVERYTHING!
Ответитьthe 'gathering' of the fabric without it ruffling is called 'easing in the fabric'😙
ОтветитьThank you! I loved all you did 😊
ОтветитьI really liked the Jean hem trick. Using a button is just genius
ОтветитьHi, regarding your question about "gathering" in spanish. In my knowledge, "embeber la tela", means "to shrink the fabric or garment" with the technique you use, small stiches. The other word for embeber, is "gather the fabric", not gathering. Gather is the name (sustantivo) of the
action (verb). Gathering is the action. Ejemplo.
I need to gather this seam.
I am gathering this seam.
Same goes for To shrink.
I hope this help you as you help many people with your experience. Thanks. Bye.
Thank you mam for Wonderful tips these are so useful
ОтветитьZurcido or surgido ( gather) to make smaller.
ОтветитьOh man that pocket trick is genius!
ОтветитьPocket!!! Brilliant!!!
ОтветитьThey are all FAN-BLOODY-TASTIC!!!!! Thank you!
ОтветитьGreat job. However, to keep from leaving pin holes in material, use clips. They are a lifesaver! 😊
ОтветитьThe pocket trick is genius!
ОтветитьThe sewing term for gathering that is much less than ruffles is easing. Love your videos and your soothing voice!
ОтветитьYour my sewing hero! I'm a beginner but I would love a simple wrap skirt pattern to try my hand at.
ОтветитьThe hardest part for me is the pricing. How do you decide on a price?
ОтветитьI just came across your channel and I am very excited I did...
ОтветитьI think the English term you are looking for is ease stitching. It's less than a gather - you should not be able to tell it's been done if it's done well.
Thank you for all your wonderful help!!
Lovely❤
ОтветитьThanks for the hacks.
ОтветитьThe jeans tip !! Just wow. I have always had a hard time getting over that part on jeans when altering. Im so excited to try this now. Thanks for all of your tips in your video !!!
ОтветитьPocket hack so smiple but brillant!
