The fact that apple has dropped support this year for the first Face ID iPhone shocks me because it feels like it came out yesterday and it’s already been dropped support this year. 6 years support though is still pretty impressive 😊

I still remember when A11 was launched everybody was talking about how overpowered it was, and almost being more powerful than computer chips. Fast forward to today, the A11 is the oldest chipset that supports the newest iOS system. Crazy how fast time flies, everything felt like it was just last year.

my iphone X had problems running some apps and attaching vids and pics in my messages.

My question is if the beta versions usually cause the performance issues? Like the apps being choppy or the overheating? I've never used betas on my iPhones for that reason. I've heard the betas also take a toll on your battery life and standby drain too. So trying out any new features simply aren't worth it for the instability it brings.

Judging phones performance on Beta release is WRONG. iPhone 10 chipset is still powerful and you can see from benchmark numbers it’s still not optimized, so don’t get too excited judging it it became choppy or whatsoever.

Had an iPhone XS for two years the lag isn’t terrible but it’s noticeable enough that I may upgrade it

Thank you for this review. I’ve been using this phone since mid 2018 and it the only issue I have is with the battery. It doesn’t make sense for me to change it now since I might upgrade sooner than expected since it’s unlikely going to get support with ios17 next year. Will see. I might upgrade to the 14 if it becomes problematic for me.

I’ve tried to install iOS 16 on my iPhone X and here’s what I have experienced:

1. Somehow drains battery life faster
2. Difficulty at doing swipe gestures (maybe because I repaired my unit and replaced the original screen)
3. Gets laggy, like 1 FPS KIND OF LAG, when I connect to Wi-Fi for more than 10 minutes
4. Heats up faster

UPDATE AS OF 8/11/22
I’m no longer experiencing lags when connecting to Wi-Fi, but still the swipe gesture issue is persistent.
