@framechasers how to I make the card boost all the time- in game it automatically boosts to 2000mhz when I start the miner it sits at 420mhz?

I use evc2 to lock the voltage, my 3090 is doing 129mh/s at 296w.

There are few things in my mind that tells me not to do it... Gpu memory temp is scary and one of them, atleast I know that I would never want to buy second hand gpu from miner rig. Other thing is that somebody has to pay for electricity 🙂 not sure if the income from mining can overlap increase in elcritcity bill 🙂. Definitely not in my country so I do not know why everybody in here went mental about this.

I took a look, and my 2600 and 1650 would net me $1.74 per day. I'd probably use more juice than any profit - BUT Nice video and you made it simple enough to follow which is often where mining gets into the nebulous!

followed all these steps but having issues.

power never goes above 112w, and core clocks staying low at 645mhz with nanominer open. GPU behaves normally in games and otherwise..
watercooled 2080ti with xoc bios flashed onto it. Anybody got any tips?

edit: flashed back to stock bios and seems to be functioning correctly

there are 2 coinbase apps, make sure you get the Wallet one. HWinfo only supports the memory junction temp for 3080 and 3090, on version 6.42 (1 month old) might need an update .... otherwise this seems to be working good

Another good think to do is to change the thermal pads with some quality ones. My Gigabyte 3080 Gaming OC used to hit 110 at 70PL, +1000mem, -200 core. After replacing the horrible pads Gigabyte use with Gedid 2mm pads, my temps are now 84 at the memory junction.

Great video!! but how do you get such a high hash rate ! I can only get mine to 70 max, and that's when the GPU memory junction is running at 110c so i have to lower the power limit on MSI and then it drops to 40 hash rate. Im using a 3090 also. cheers

Hi . Very nice guide. Followed your guide, started to mine with my Palit GTX 1080ti .
Results : 42.5MH/s - kind of 100 pounds a month .....

My GPU is very cool in any scenario , so after setting a new curve for Fan , it's minimg at 100% load at 45deg , 78% fan speed

BUT
I am not gonna keep it this way ... I like too much my GPU, just till I get the minimum 62Pounds to redraw ...
I am not sure if it's a good idea to slowly kill your card nowadays when GPU prices are up the to sky due the shortge ...

I seem to hover around 96-98c junction on water with my 3090 FTW3 and EK block/backplate. How on earth is your wife hitting 80c?

Followed your instructions to use this as a soak test for my GigaByte Aorus Xtreme 3090 with Bykski waterblock (using your pad thicknesses of 1mm and 1.5mm). - 30C reduction in VRAM temperature! Only thing I've found is that the Aorus Xtreme seems more suited to overclocked gaming (which is why I bought it) rather than mining. Max MH/s showing as about 107 at 315W in nanominer. Actual hashrate on the pool is considerably higher and can be anything up to 170MH/s. Strange! VRAM temperature maxes out at 74C.
The pool fee is 21000 gas for 0.05 payouts and supposedly free for 0.1 and above!
