Love my OCD pedal so much. I was originally exposed to it on my headrush modeler that I use solo and when I built my first board for playing in a band earlier this summer, a used OCD was one of the first pedals I got. Having it between my 70’s thinline tele and my twin reverb makes me feel like I’m absolutely ripping and tearing through solos!
Ответитьthis guy talked about wahs and didnt mentiom morley at all, dont trust his word he has no credibility
ОтветитьWhat about other boosts not mentioned in your video, such as:
Bad Bob
Beano Boost
Keeley Katana

ОтветитьLove your videos! Would really appreciate your input on designing/building a pedalboard for a non-fix loop amp like the Princeton or Vox ac15
Thank you 🇨🇦
He rambled way too much! Monotone
ОтветитьHere's something I know nothing about that maybe someone can help me with. I think I have a pretty nice board, for my standards. Some things are a bit old on there but I've had no issues. Using a One Control OC10 crocodile tail loop switcher with a couple strymon pedals, the boss volume pedal, MXR analog chorus, a gate, a wah, and an OCD for my clean fender amp when needed. My question is - What would I need to do to use that sort of a rig, heaven forbid, direct into a mixer? - Like for churches and what not? Or places where people don't want amps on stage, but it still sounds decent...?? I've seen people use the digital pedalboards like the Line 6 HELIX or the Kemplers, but I really don't want to shell out that kind-of money just to play without an amp...any suggestions?
ОтветитьI will just never in my life understand why people want neutral sounding boost pedals. Why would you not want a boost that colors the sound. To me that's the whole point. A boost that slightly colors the tone to sound better, how is that not what you want?! My J Rockett Audio Lenny colors the sound a lot. Love it!
ОтветитьHow many of you guys put you're entire body weight on your wah all night long? Wack
ОтветитьYour hands are so distracting, I can't. Sorry
Ответитьhank you-Great video.
ОтветитьNice gear. Though I would like to see these effects, at some in stereo so that keyboard players can use them.
ОтветитьI know there's a lot of offerings out there. I think a couple worth mentioning: Chorus: Boss CE1, Overdrive: Voodoo Labs Sparkle Drive Mod, Delay: Line 6 DL4 (original or MkII) both brilliant, big but offer a lot of bang for the size. MkII unlimited looping time in addition to always having 3 delay times at your feet on the fly, Thank you for your post. Also, I've been playing for a long time and went through 4 Ernie Ball volume pedals, The string breaks, or spring stretches, and they never, ever have unity gain...that is a deal breaker. The Dunlop on the other hand is direct drive, unity gain and the housing is bullet proof like the EB. Just my three cents.
Ответить600 for a fuzz 😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂
ОтветитьAbout 13 years ago I had a BBE Sonic Stomp. It really brought my '93 Strat+ to the front.
ОтветитьExcellent and comprehensive presentation! I took meticulous notes. Question - how about the cheapo pedals like the Donner line? I scooped up a handful of them just to add color to my sound. I’d love to hear your opinion on some of these inexpensive minis.
ОтветитьCrunch Box 🗃! My pedal ❤
ОтветитьGreat video! very concise, I like your content!
ОтветитьWow! What a breadth and depth of knowledge! 😊
ОтветитьI'm in need of a good delay pedal but the DD-500 might be a little to rich for my blood. I'm considering the DD-200 but I'm open to suggestions. Great video.
ОтветитьSansAmp
Ответитьin then you make an album where do you put the pedals the producer took them out of recording lol improved them with studio sounds what a waste of money and to much money at that pedals are fun toys but never mean any thing when your in a recording the sounds go thru manipulations producer strips your sound back and and your sound go's thru changes then perfections pitches bpms delays reverbs tremolos tape echo's boosters ect so no way should a fun toy cost over 100 that you will only sell on after a play or 2 in couple months or 2 taking a 60% to a 80% loss in order to sell in a years time that in its self is insane
ОтветитьI know this is an individual pedal video but you mention pedals that are consistently being used and I just had to mention this multi fx pedal. I see the line 6 m9 on just about every session player’s board in Nashville. The M series stands the test of time.
ОтветитьWho TF puts their “full body weight” on a wah??? What, are they balancing on one leg??
ОтветитьDude, you are a wealth of information!!! Thank you :)
ОтветитьI’ve been watching a few of your videos, and I came across the volume pedal video and it changed my whole sound. I can’t thank you enough I just audition for band and I have 40 songs ahead of me to learn I’ve already got 10 of them down and only 30 days to learn the rest. I just want to tell you how valuable the information you gave me was thank you.
ОтветитьI agree with the RAT and the TS9, that's where I ended up.
ОтветитьGreat video! I was surprised to see Arion pedals mentioned. I've always steered clear of them due to the plastic housing.
ОтветитьWhat’s up with never ending poping sound effect?! Very distracting :/
ОтветитьHoly Moly - You should get yourself on Mastermind - "Your chosen subject: Guitar Pedals" - the other contstants wouldn't get A look in! Thank u 4 this
ОтветитьTalking about guitar pedals without live-demo testing sound is not good idea
ОтветитьThanks Mason. This is unbelievably comprehensive in the breadth of pedals discussed.
ОтветитьDeben ser los mejores, ¿pero como suenan?
ОтветитьI see most of these pedals on popular pedalboard setups.
I'm just wondering where have all BOSS pedals gone??
They were the most popular common staple of all pedalboard setup of the 80s & 90s.
They seem to have been overated then vanished.
Seems incomplete to discuss overdrive and distortion pedals without mentions of BOSS's classic SD-1 and DS-1.
Hilarious, your Arion SCH-1 is missing a knob just like mine!
ОтветитьFor fuzz I have fell in love with the carcosa
Ответитьthe fact that i watched this for 57 minutes is crazy can i just pay you to build me the best of the best im overwhelmed and going crazy lol
ОтветитьGreat vid on a VERY subjective subject.
ОтветитьAlways great content ! Thank You !
ОтветитьThere are so many pedal manufacturers now that it's difficult to determine which is "best" and of course a lot of it is taste.
ОтветитьCurious that strymon barely made it into the video...
ОтветитьI'm surprised Revv G3 wasn't on here
ОтветитьThank you!!!
ОтветитьIts great to see guitarists using plant life to alter their overdrive sounds. Ive found indoor fernery is perfect for blues screamers and strangely enough the MESA BOOGIE amp chugs significantly better. Good choice dude. Please do a video on studio plants, this will be well received
Ответитьnothing by David Barber or Strymon? surpirsing.
ОтветитьThe one pedal that I think is the most useful to both electric and acoustic players is the Boss GT-1000core... Yeah, I said it... Lol... I don't own it and have an elaborate 3-stereo + 1-dry parellel channel board, but I can't deny that it is the biggest bang for the buck in one pedal...
ОтветитьI do a lot of solo acoustic gigs. Mostly classic country and classic rock stuff. Right now, all I am using is a vocal harmonizer. I would like to find a pedal that would give me some nice string sounds, especially for slower songs. what would you recommend?
