I hear ya man. Lots of people think mechanics are out to screw ya. I've had people bitch about the bill. I just tell them if you Don't want it done right then take it somewhere else
ОтветитьI hear ya pal. We're surrounded by stupidity.
ОтветитьAwesome video thanks Warren for your time and consideration and the education 🚛🚜🚛🚜🔧🛠️🔧🛠️
ОтветитьIf you are out in the boondocks, and your charging system starts going bad, will the brakes still function temporarily using the emergency disconnect battery on the tongue? Thanks
Ответитьgood vid warren
Ответить👍👍👍👍👍👍
ОтветитьI love freeloading, if my truck gives me a head scratcher, I'll drop off the truck and a load of cash and my mechanic is free to take a load! I'm hoping your customer pays ahead of time and with a huge compliment for getting it done right. "I'm getting soft" says the guy who took a radiator shroud to the face...
ОтветитьHello from Alaska, Thanks, Warren, for another great video. God bless you and your family.
ОтветитьWarren, I truly appreciate your hard work and your content you've been putting out ,thank you!
ОтветитьHey Warren, the unfortunate trailer axle.😢 Neglected and forgotten about until the wheel falls off. My brother believes in the "bearing buddy". Me, not souch. His last trip he lost a wheel because instead of an annual inspection and replaced he pumped a couple pumps into it. I have to admit though I haven't looked at my bearings recently firm in the knowledge that " I haven't put many likes on them"!😮 We'll see how that goes.😊
ОтветитьI've needed new brakes and bearing service on one of my trailers for about 3 years now. Have all of the parts but no motivation.
ОтветитьIt always amazes me the knowledge you have on so many different machines. This video was close to my heart as I just replaced the brakes on my single axle dump trailer, this video I could relate to. I do love watching you diagnosing the machinery you work on, the knowledge you have is unbelievable, I’m especially amazed how you remember how everything goes back together!
ОтветитьJust did the same thing on my trailer, cheaper than buying brakes, magnet separately, good job Warren
ОтветитьI try to do as much of my own work as possible. But there are those times that I am over my head. That's when I will pay someone else to do the work. But I also understand that he has years of experience and the knowledge and the shop or truck to do the job. You pay a man for his worth. That worth is years of knowledge and experience of his trade.
I only complain when it's a shitty repair and I have to redo it.
Thanks for your time sir.
I cringe everytime I see you use those big sockets to drive in races. I use to do that but they are so expensive. I have a bearing and seal driver set that I pieced together that covers up to about 4 inches. Much cheaper than beating on my sockets.
ОтветитьThat's fast again😉😉😉😉
ОтветитьIn Michigan, normally the backing plates are pretty rusty. Replacing the whole assembly makes sense. Hopefully the customer realizes that you saved them a bunch of hassle for the next year or so.
I do Commercial HVACR for a living, moving from job to job. Sometimes I have customers call me and try to troubleshoot a system over the phone while I’m on another customer’s job. A few minutes, for a good customer, I don’t mind. More than that, call the shop, setup a call and I’ll come out and take a look. A darned near $3 per minute, you have to be cognizant of your time and being fair to your customers. Thanks for the video as always, Warren. Hopefully your head is healed up. Not to bad of a headache afterwards.
After watching your videos over the years the greatest gift you have given me is a much better understanding problem solving mechanical and electrical problems. Thank you!
ОтветитьYou have no idea how I can relate to the statement “ if it can happen, it will happen to me”! I set here grinning like a dog chewing cork with a warm fussy feeling all over knowing I’m not the only one that happens to. Thanks for the update, enjoyed watching.
ОтветитьI worked at a service station years ago that had one of those Alemite bearing packers. Cool stuff, but still messy. Bearings is dirty work, no way around it.
ОтветитьWait till election time, it will show you how stupid people are when HARRIS Wins
Ответить👍
ОтветитьOver 30 years ago [1988] I was able to buy the same electric brakes complete for a 1950 dozer trailer. 8 ton ATC tilt . Your right best way to go
ОтветитьFreeloaders are the worst. Over the years, I've built up a technical community of almost 3,000 people on Telegram, mostly from India. Not one of them has ever donated or even bought me a coffee. It's frustrating dealing with so many who seem happy to take without giving anything back – and, honestly, a lot of them don’t know much either.
Most of them are as thick as pig shit. Less than ten percent are really good.
First off I appreciate everything you teach us Warren, I might be putting too much grease in all the bearings I replace, I fill the entire empty space in the hub with grease, but I’ve never had bearing failure might just be waisting grease?😂
ОтветитьI remembered as a kid being shown how to tighten the nut after the wheel bearings were replaced. I usually tightened the nut and turned the wheel till it was tight. Then I would back it off just enough to put the cotter key in. He said, oh no! Ya gotta preload them bearings. To each their own I guess.
ОтветитьCan't learn if you don't figure it out yourself
ОтветитьI agree 100% what you say the world is nothing like it use to be !!!! Iam in my late 60s the world will never be as good as it use to be how people are now and getting worse!!!
ОтветитьI realy enjoy your Vidios they are real and so areyou !!!
ОтветитьWARREN do it once do it right and then no issues
unless they are tight asses then its never right dammed if you do dammed if you dont
Great video Warren really enjoy watching you fix the brakes and repack and replace the wheel bearings. Thanks for sharing stay safe Warren.
ОтветитьYea I get it, was going to send you some welding rods but you haven't replied or said anything so I'm not going to bug you about it
ОтветитьMan the first thing my highschool shop teacher hammered into my head was that you never skimped on brakes with your cars and trucks!
Yeah stopping in time is the best insurance you can pay money for!
we use a similar grease packer but akso a hydraulic press to squeeze it and also to press in the shells and seals
ОтветитьI sometimes put the bearing packer in the vice if the grease is cold, most of the time now i pack bearings with a needle tip and grease gun, less mess, can usually grease them in the hub, just my 2 cents, Thanks for the videos 👍
Ответить👍
ОтветитьThanks for the vid
ОтветитьPeople r so fucking stupid
ОтветитьThank you. Curious as to what shoes/boots you're wearing. They look comfortable.
ОтветитьYou can get over a high price, hard to get over sloppy work.
Fix it right and be done with it is what I say.
much enjoyed. Thanks for sharing.
ОтветитьI am no car or heavy plant mechanic but are bearings Surpose to be pressed in
ОтветитьNo laptop, no deep dive diagnostics, no wiring schematics, just good old hands on repair but with as much care going into it. The theme throughout your videos. Really enjoyed it. Thanks Warren
ОтветитьHi Mr Warren trying to get in touch with you. Got a JD 850b and need to find a control valve rebuilt kit. So far no luck. Three years ago you said you rebuilt one for a 750.
ОтветитьYa know you are going to catch hell for using a chisel to install a race and not a brass punch, lol
ОтветитьInflation, cost of living, cost of parts and labor, and your experience and expertise are worth more than you charge, I’m sure.
ОтветитьDo it right. I agree. You can't fix stupid. Wish you were in our area. I would hire you to work on my tractor.
ОтветитьWhy don’t you communicate with the customer first about doing the whole new brake assemblies if you’re so worried about his reaction
Ответить
