Thank you 😊
ОтветитьThanks so much for sharing, don’t know if I can fix it, but it gives me an idea of what has happened. I’ll just have to find someone I can afford to fix it, Thanks again for sharing, it really helps.👍👍😊
ОтветитьHow old was your ice maker before you started having trouble with it.? My wire come off at one end, but my daughter hooked it back up, it released what ice was in it,but it’s not making ice,,so I might have to buy a new one, or just go back to ice trays, thanks so much.also my outside central air died, no hope for it, just too expensive for senior,to make the repairs, I thought I was a gonna,it’s been so hot this year all around, I have several health issues. I had a couple of fans, I
Put one on my birds the other so it would blow air over my bed, it blew hot air, but it did save me.
I called my daughter, and she ask if I had a card for Home Depot I did so we went got a window, but
It’s not big enough, they didn’t have any other, so at least the birds and I have one room, a little cooler, when it rains it pours, we could use some real rain,Texas is just so dry and hot think it was 106 degrees yesterday, you have a wonderful day, I’m sorry, about rattling on. Thanks again for sharing with us, your really a great help. Even if I can’t do anything, I have an idea what it is 😊👍👍👍great job, 😊bet you have helped a lot of people.
thank you ,great information
ОтветитьThank you so much!
ОтветитьThanks so for your help
ОтветитьWhen water is going into ice maker, it makes loud high pitch sound. It is a 2 month old side by side.
ОтветитьYou the man!
ОтветитьI hook mine up and it didn’t work 😂 turns out it’s got to cool off. Lol
ОтветитьThanks for the assistance. 👍
ОтветитьThank bro
ОтветитьSo if you complete the circuit and the water doesn’t start filling then what?
ОтветитьJust replaced my entire unit. I was able to jump the T and H the unit fills and cycles. Issue is that the water just sits frozen and unit never cycles only when jumped. Not sure what to check next.
Ответитьthank you for the help saved me money and that a big help now adays
ОтветитьThis guy and video is easy to understand. I fixed the ice maker after troubleshooting.. thanks bunches!😊
ОтветитьFixed mine in 15 minutes with the hair dryer. You Rock!
ОтветитьGreat video!
ОтветитьI have a baggie that got stuck in the maker....
ОтветитьExcellent video, precise and to the point.
ОтветитьThanks!
ОтветитьVERY helpful. Thank you!
ОтветитьMy 7 year old whirlpool started making ice very erratically. I found this video, figured out how to get all the plastic doors and drawers out of the way (hardest part of the whole project). Then, when I finally had easy access, it took only a few minutes to remove the unit. After taking that front piece off , I found no burnt electric connections. But, I did clean both sides of all connections with emery cloth, a sharp knife blade and finally some electronic components aerosol spray cleaner. I even found, under a plastic lever type thing, a set of points, similar to what you used to find in an auto distributor. I dug out my old ignition points file, which I have not had to use in at least 30 years, and ran it through all 4 points. But everything back together annd it is cranking out all sorts of ice, simply by cleaning the invisible corrosion off of the electric contacts
ОтветитьWhat about if you connect L and V and nothing happens?
ОтветитьPerfect. Exactly what I needed. Thanks for being here.
ОтветитьGreat video…only what do you do if water doesn’t come out when you use the paper clip?
ОтветитьHow about showing us how you did your test with power on. Then how did you remove the icemaker?
ОтветитьI got now power to unit at all. Fuse maybe?
ОтветитьDo you have to turn off the water before removing the ice maker, or is the valve defaulted to off and outside of the ice maker? Edit: Answered my own question. No, you don't turn off the water, the valves are external and always off until the machine triggers them.
In my case though, I didn't even have to remove the ice maker (hindsight). My circuit board had dirty contacts. After removing the board, I cleaned the contacts with contact cleaner and a Q-Tip and put it back on, and the ice maker resumed normal function. My symptom was no ice. Motor worked, water valve worked. Thanks for the video.
what if the water isnt flowing>
ОтветитьI can’t even get the white cover off the thing 😂
ОтветитьSo, I just used the jumper wire. I stuck it in V first, then in L and I got a SPARK in L! Did I just fry something???
Ответить5years later and this video just helped me❤❤❤ THANK YOU
ОтветитьVery good and I found it at just the right time. My ice maker which matches yours had failed. Using the bent wire to test it proved the same as yours and I've ordered a new one from the link you provided. One question, does the water at the source need to be shut off?
ОтветитьI found that the air coming to the ice maker was not cold enough. I turn off the entire refrigerator for 2 hours and there was frost built up in the tube going to the ice maker.
ОтветитьGreat informative video
ОтветитьI'm having the same problem and this is the second video I watched. Very informative just what I needed. Thank you.
ОтветитьGreat video! My inlet water was frozen. I thawed it and picked out the ice. Everything passes jumper test and seems to be working fine now. I suspect it was a water pressure issue though. It doesn't appear to be leaking. My well pump has been not keeping up lately when multiple things are running. So if some other things were running water, my icemaker might have only received trickles of water. The valve part # on my whirlpool from 2006 is 2304757. But looks like I don't need it now. I'll just let it run, and time will tell.
ОтветитьYup, the heater contact arced on the replacment unit I bought a year ago. I unscrewed the cover and soldered over the burned connector. It worked for a day then I had to solder it again with an added copper strip. It's been about a week and so far so good. Thanks for posting this video.
ОтветитьEste video me salvo de la calor ice 🧊 thanks
ОтветитьMuchas Gracias 🙌
ОтветитьGreat video. I did the replacement as you suggested. The ice maker is making ice again however it will only give me crushed ice no mater what I select on the switch/door. I unplugged ther refer and also did the reset and no change
ОтветитьWhat’s the link for the ice maker to replace?
ОтветитьDo you have a video on ice maker on bottom of whirlpool - makes some ice but mostly hollow ice 🤷🏻♀️
ОтветитьSorry, this was way too technical for me. I saw other videos that seemed easier and quicker. This seems like it could work...just not what I was looking for. I'll try some of the other suggestions first.
ОтветитьI jumped V and L - nothing happened. No water fed to ice maker.
ОтветитьThank you for your help sir I liked and subscribe sir
ОтветитьGREAT VIDEO! Thank you for an excellent explanation!
ОтветитьOn the new ice maker i purchaed. The back of it where the inlet line goes, there is no space on the new ice maker for the line to go like it is on the old one. No cut out for it. Any recommendations?
ОтветитьEXCELLENT video. A standard by which all repair videos should be measured. You not only explained how to fix it, but how it works, and gave me the testing info I was looking for. Kudos!
