I can buy Isabella caring about getting someone's pronoun wrong and apologizing, but 1. no real friend would expect 10 push ups as a "sacrifice" and 2. Isabella would never do 10 push ups just because she messed up someone's pronoun. Normal people don't act this way.

It's like BioWare forgot they were making a fantasy game. It's a fantasy world, why cant you just drink a potion or have a spell or ritual to change your gender? Why would characters that aren't man or woman use they/them pronouns like it's the real world, it's a fantasy world, come up with something fantastic and interesting.

Some things in games seem out of place, especially Bioware games. Did you ever try to have multiple romances in Mass Effect 1? If you flirt with Ashley and Liara you eventually get a scene where Ashley tells you to knock it off, if you keep doing it then you get another scene later where she goes full Karen about it and one of Shepherd's dialogue choices are he basically asks for the possibility of a threesome 😂 😂 And I think choosing that one ends it with Ashley, it's pretty funny but out of place when the main character is seeking threesomes when he's supposed to be saving the galaxy.

I feel like it would have made more sense to just have Isabella buy them a drink. It would have been more in-character, less awkward, and made it into less of a spectacle.
