Hay cierto encanto especial en estos vídeos antiguos.
Chris mantiene ese sentido del humor tan particular 😂 me fascina.
This is actually wonderful to watch in context - Chris has such a confident, quintessentially British presentation in these early posts, an innocence fuelled distillation of what is to come...so pure and refreshing!
ОтветитьRe-watching this after watching the last episode of "non stop north" is really giving a different feeling
ОтветитьNon Stop North looking back at this. Such a big journey Congrats Chris!
Ответитьyou finally have Kei Car
ОтветитьI'm writing this in Jan 2024 and we've just seen that you finally got your own kei car. Congratulations!
Also, I think your presentation style is still surprisingly similar even though it's been 11 years since this video. I'm not sure you'd put in a Hitler reference now though 🤔
Is that Sakamoto Kyu in the background? I've been really enjoying your older videos as of late, and it was a pleasant surprise to hear 「明日があるさ」。
ОтветитьI got into Abroad in Japan in 2020 when the pandemic was at its highest scale. In the words of The Ramones “nothing to do, nowhere to go”. I was scheduled to take my dream trip to Tokyo in June 2020, and was obviously very bummed out that it wouldn’t be possible. Watching Chris have fun in Japan at least gave me a vision into what I was missing and made it hurt less. I wish I’d of watched these older ones back then. Just as fun as the later era stuff imo.
ОтветитьGlorious high definition video 😂
Ответитьthere’s something so brilliantly top gear about this, the real top gear with clarkson, Hammond and May.
ОтветитьThe level of editing and production quality really did skyrocket
ОтветитьDone an strange trip in kyshu island and its cost 18000 yen or something just to roam around the whole island for 4 days.
ОтветитьI've started rewatching these videos after reading Chris's book. Amazing 👏
ОтветитьOuter edge of 🪐 and back 👀
☠️
Who is here after reading chapter 8 of Abroad in Japan? 📚
ОтветитьTryna hold myself back from treating this channel like a series but wow was he good from the beginning
ОтветитьShit video actually was hoping to learn something not hear your shit jokes 😂
ОтветитьThese early videos remind me of how Jeremy Clarkson started in old top gear compared to how his new shows are
ОтветитьFrom making a random video in his own apartment to now. Very remarkable Chris.
ОтветитьSuch an informative and useful video. He should make a living out of this.
ОтветитьDrove for the first time in Japan a few days ago, and currently enjoying the heck out of my rental Kei Car.
But what's better is I never expected to watch a video of Chris from 10 years ago telling me about driving in Japan
The first appearance of konbini fried chicken!
Ответитьrepresenting the good people of britain like a champion - love this guy
ОтветитьI love how much you have improved video wise.
ОтветитьLot changed over the 10 years since this video but the fried chicken!!! Untouchable :D
ОтветитьSam-yer-eye
Ответитьdriving to my Japanese school I used to drive through a great stretch over the paddy fields. The speed limit was 40kph, but I used to try and get up to 100kph. Japanese speed limits are for show, not a practical limit.
Ответитьit's practically the same video that "what driving in Japan is really like" from 2021 :D
ОтветитьI made it Chris, ten years after you, I made it to Japan
Ответитьthe music is China.
ОтветитьGem Finds, great video Chris, and humor too. ASHITA GA ARU ASHITA GA ARUUU ASHITA GA ARUUUUSAAAA.
ОтветитьWhat the fuck was wrong with you, Chris?
ОтветитьWhat a gem
ОтветитьIn Switzerland trains drive on a left-hand system whereas every other means of transportation operate on a right-hand system because the Swiss oriented themselves after the British railways.
ОтветитьThis video is so funny!
Ответить"Japanese, of course, love WHAM!"
Who doesn't?!
this channel is GOLD. had to come here from the future just to say that
ОтветитьWatching young chris with ancient video format is kinda trippy
ОтветитьExpensive
ОтветитьI love abroad in Japan, an absolutely amazing channel
ОтветитьWord on the street is that he’s still a legend..
ОтветитьI don't know why, but I kind of like these videos more than the new ones sometimes, maybe because of the nostalgia or there is some raw quality to it. Still, Chris has developed a lot in directing & recording.
ОтветитьNice video
ОтветитьVW: Berlin to Warsaw in one tank
Kei cars: Get to the outer ring of Saturn and back in one tank and still have enough leftover to go to 7 Eleven and get a fried chicken
