The Power Of Chaos was basically role-playing as Yusaku/Playmaker from The Lost Incident for a lot of us.
The game was extremely difficult and painful.
Abandonware has the games, they propely compressed
ОтветитьFunny Joey the Passion is where it all started for me with yugioh and why i love it to this day. If we could only chose between like 50 characters and each 1 of them to have there unique 150 cards pool built around each of there decks Archetypes (with modern card supports for there teamed decks) , now i would pay 200$ for that game without blinking man 😌.
ОтветитьI remember buying a double pack of Yugi and Kiaba’s starter decks that came with a PC game. You could play as either character in a duel and learn how to play
Ответитьwtf
ОтветитьSo glad this got a good review 😊 played this game throughout my childhood, it got me back onto yugioh when i found our old gameboy advance
ОтветитьAm I like the only person that has all 3 installed in 2023?
ОтветитьThose cards most be worth a fortune now.
ОтветитьI remember buying a pirated copy of this game in my local game shop for like, $8 bucks, going home to play it, and almost immediately going... "Wait... That's it??? This is all you do??" I do remember liking the look of the game. The character-tailored fields and aesthetics were neat, and the voice acting was very much welcome.... But that was literally IT for these games. I only ever played Yugi the Destiny. Didn't even know that there were Kaiba and Joey-specific games until a few years later.
ОтветитьBeing one of the first Yu-gi-oh games I played on PC, this game will always hold dear to me.
I'll never forget when trying to find this game "digitally" many years later, I found one bootleg called Marik the Darkness that featured Marik as the opponent, and his voice lines were just Wesker's lines from Resident Evil 5.
But even worse: I also found a Brazilian bootleg one that was all themed around Ben 10, for some reason. Wish I could find it again, just for the laughs
My favorite card is Prohibition because I can see every card in the game without endlessly grinding for them all.
The card selection up to Joey is clearly limited to the first half of Battle City which means no Egyptian Gods and such, but there are just as many cards that don't exist in the anime/manga as well
I also grinded all games hard and was able to get every card in all of the games. I wish they all had the Joey mechanic where you can get a different set of card(s) you win after a duel
ОтветитьUK fan here! I took a trip to Toys R Us one time and saw the special edition yugi with the 5 promos for only £19.99 👌 I begged my dad for it and he agreed ✌️😎 i played the heck out of it. Loved the voice acting despite the game itself being the same thing over and over. I ended up slaying Yugi over and over by the end. Shame the first game didnt have more cards. That was REALLL cheap of them to limit it to the starter decks and blue eyes cards! Kinda limited decks there... i always wanted Kaiba and Joey which I'd see often in my towns game shop but i never wanted to spend the £30 on them.
Ответить"Joey's history with local gangs...", man, that's not even the half of it. The manga describes how his father is a deadbeat alcoholic, which forces him to work despite being a student, and a lack of a decent family environment causes him to run with the wrong crowds. I'm also obligated to mention one of the few things that the Toei "Season Zero" series did not adapt, and that was the manga chapter where Joey was willing to debase himself on Japanese television for fortune so he could pay off his dad's debts, and wins the grand prize... but the studio goes out of business, making the check void.
ОтветитьI enjoyed them for what they were back in the day I had yugi and joey and I believe I payed 19.99 for them at a gamestop
ОтветитьI only ever saw the Joey one in store shelves, i never saw Yugi or Kaiba's editions of this game
ОтветитьHi Zane! Fellow yugioh enjoyer here
Yugi the destiny and kaiba the revenge actually also has the "difficulty" setting, meaning that if you lose a match, their deck will be weaker (and from my experience the ai will play "dumber" moves, like not saving mirror force and simply activating it the first possible time, same with trap hole) and if you win a match their deck will be better (better plays like activating mirror force, trap hole, monster reborn etc at more "optimal" times). Not sure if this applies to single games too but its WAY faster to unlock new cards with matches, as you only need to win 2 games to get 3 cards instead of 3 when you do singles.
Also i have some sort of european special edition of yugi the destiny as well as all 3 games """"""""digitally"""""""" sooo hmu if you want em haha
I don't know where you looked digitally, but someone I may or may not know has found DVD rips of all 3 games online and has even made real-life burned copies out of those. Might even have a link, if I knew the guy
Ответитьthis games also had a ton of fan mods expently from spain..
ОтветитьWowww that Joey theme music is burnt into my brain
ОтветитьMan, you are so wrong about these games. Imagine being in 2004 and playing a Yugioh game with high quality card art and voice acting. I had Kaiba the Revenge, and it really felt like I was dueling Kaiba. It was a child's dream come true. No other Yugioh games at that time came even close.
ОтветитьDespite it's only play against one enemy and became repetitive, very good for beginners. After I watched your previous videos this game feels a downgrade to previous games. I have good memories with this game, when I started watching Yu-Gi-Oh the Jaden version of this game was the first title I found and started playing. I learned the basics of the game from it and a little later, when it start to became repetitive I bought Millenium Duels on ps3. It's a very good game, with so many deck options. I hope you make a video about it too.
ОтветитьYou being over harsh on the games.
First of all they came out in a time, where online wasn't a thing and LAN gaming, wasn't big as well.
Plus, they were the only games that we can play at the time, and most people just played from home, and didn't mind playing the games over and over, I know I did fought Kaiba more than I would like to admit...
You should have been more positive, because you were not fair towards those games.
I actually like these games. I still have them. They don’t even take a gig worth of space. Joey was a good appointment that change deck themes
ОтветитьThese games are actually pretty dope when modded. Adding a bunch of new cards and then making custom decks for the AI means that you'll have a lot of different scenarios to play through. Since you're going up against AI you can modify card attributes and play fun decks without having to worry about being competitive like with online plays. The UI is also more pleasing to look at then other YuGiOh titles which usually have terribly ugly interface.
Yeah there are titles with more "content" where you go up against more duelists and such, but besides the change of scenery and character portrait for the person you're dueling against, it's still just the same AI, usually with a terrible deck given by the developers, which you can't change.
Really sucks that the event cards that come with these games are so expensive online. I'd love to get the trio of main character cards from this set.
Ответитьthe only thing chaotic is me watching over 10 of these videos in a day
ОтветитьYou can actually duel with a friend via LAN. Though that's not saying much. I still enjoyed these as a kid.
ОтветитьI spent like 3 seconds and found a "digital" version of Power of Chaos that worked completely fine and could do the same with other 2
ОтветитьThe Kaiba version was also notable for its hard soundtrack
ОтветитьI have all 3 of the games, I enjoyed my time with them and spent $40 AUD on each of them
ОтветитьI don't know if anyone talked about this in the comments, but I played Joey the Passion a lot in about 2008 as an "alternative" to yugioh online, mostly in the spanish speaking community via hamachi, we organized thematic events, had "updated banlists" and it was a lot of fun, of course it was all "digitally" distributed and we dig in the windows registry to unlock all cards to just play with eachother, great fun even if with very outdated cards for the time
ОтветитьI played these as a Teenager all day if i was not playing ygo online 😂 just a funfact, the games have Mods nowadays
ОтветитьSomething must have happened in the last year because these games are super easy to get "digitally" today, i downloaded them a couple days ago with no issues and they're a pretty fun way to play old school yugioh when you have no one else to play with
Edit: grammer
Nearly died of nostalgia when I saw the 1st Edition versions of Dark Magician and Kuriboh 😢... Oh gosh, the old days! 😭😊
Ответитьanyone duel joey online by gameranger?
ОтветитьAnyone else get this from a scholastic book catalog in middle school?
ОтветитьI only have posivie memories on the three games. I had as a kid a lot of fun to play against the npc and built a deck. I mean yeah 155 cards are not much but as a kid it was huge.
ОтветитьI honestly really liked those 3 games back than when there weren't many alternatives. I also had some gba games which offered way more content but being able to play the game in a high resolution was something different.
What I hated was that you were forced to use the AI and opponent from the latest version you had. So installing all 3 games would have you stuck with the Joey theme and him as opponent instead of having the option two choose. Well yeah, they were pretty lazy with these I guess...
Where can I download power of chaos
Ответитьthese games were the best spending hours with siblings and dad grinding duels till you lose and switch out. once we unlocked all of the cards we ended up playing via LAN. no voice acting and manga cut-ins to break the flow of the gameplay, and for us, living in a country where yugioh cards were not available for purchase, same with game consoles (especially handhelds and their games, which the ygo franchise thrived on) , these games were the only way for my siblings and i to enjoy yugioh outside of watching the show on tv.if it wasn't for these games i would have never gotten back into the card game as an adult since a nostalgia trip led me to finding ygo pro and all the other fan simulators out there
ОтветитьBaby dragon & alligator sword fusion monster was my "strategy" in the starter deck for JoeyThePassion
ОтветитьYugi the destiny were what taught me and my bro how to actually play
ОтветитьThe best way to play original duel monsters IMO
ОтветитьRed Eyes B. Dragon has seen play in Red Eyes Dark Dragoon decks back when Dragoon was printed and there are still somewhat relevant decks still using Red Eyes B. Dragon. This Deck was played way before this video was put out so the information was there. When the Dragoon was just spoiled people knew the game had changed. And so it did because it was played so much it got banned.
ОтветитьThe Joey game was so smooth and with his personality it was so entertaining i even installed it ( wich was so easy) and even installed the online engine and plated with my friends when corona hit and the internet became so slow keep in mind this was released in 2004 sorry but you're being so harsh on this masterpiece
ОтветитьI see what you are trying to do, unfortunately it's not going to work!
DISLIKE!
Dialog can get repetitive, but the duels can be awesome/brutal.
