i get the sense that this season was designed with the idea they’d have the in game lfg sorted as there’s some good ideas in it, but deep dive and all that goes with that (which tbh can be a really great experience) doesn’t fit matchmade atm so i wonder if they’d anticipated having the in game lfg set up when designing this

Pay that should be part of the dlc for that season
Not a dam mission
If the exotic is going to be a special weapon that deals real damage it should be earned in the mission plus they don't like real damaging weapons in the game
Only water down exotic
Like the ice spear it did crazy damage then they took it offline
Then toned-down damaged
They don't like people winning too much They like people running the hamster wheel over and over

When searching for the darkness spirals. If you ads with the scout it will highlight the spiral. This is based on your weapons range stat so if u switch to a longer range scout, you’ll see the highlight from a longer distance. You have to be moderately close if you keep the new scout in based on its archetype

This mission is horrible for a solo player that has to run it with randoms. There are to many go getting clowns that just run through and miss what needs to be done. Please, people of destiny, watch Ebontis, and learn what needs to be done.

Nah, I think I'll just go back to do some extra fishing for exotics and the like instead of grinding this out. This timed quest and absurd difficulty level makes this weapon not worth the bother, imho; just like that glaive mission before. Anyhoo, GGs to OP et al, and anyone else who goes for it. This old tortoise ain't playing. lol

Terrible quest for solo players

Best way to do this is use the fireteam finder and do a private deep dive not matchmade at least then you know people will be on the same page

so deep dives are gonna suck the next week or so, i completed this yesterday and i'm just trying to run normal deep dives 4/5 public games someone is trying to do this and then leaves when i start the final encounter instead, just lfg it please

This thing is not worth the effort, i can understand if it also had headstone, or body shots slow the target also. Any headstone scout destroys this, the only thing that can help this exotic is if the catalyst does any of the above i mentioned.

Tried multiple times yesterday but failed, failed & failed. While running down clock makes it difficult, finding all 3 minotaurs within the maze seems to be most difficult part, so far since I don’t have a team to run it with. Matching making is not the best. I’ll be trying again tonight. Hopefully I’ll be able to get the exotic. 😢

This encounter is horrible. It's so dark I couldn't see. I kept getting lost, and Tormentor chases you around. He doesn't stay in one area. STUPID. Well another weapon I'll never have.

Congrats ! Tried it with couple matchmade blueberries and at one point we all went down and it was so disheartening to know that was basically end of run. Had a hothead for heavy and ran out of ammo fast even though had couple of finders on. Hope to give it a go again sometime. When minotaurs spawned we each headed off in different directions so been thinking whether or not best just beat them together for speed sake. p.s I for one am not a fan of these timed challenges. Been going on for ages and I prefer just challenge of beating enemies rather than artificial challenge of doing it quickly. Will see if get it done or not. p.p.s Not crazy about entire Crown of Sorrows nightmare-esque component of Deep Dives so barely done many this season as well. Maybe people like it but I'd rather they skip seasonal humdrum event and put Prison of Elders or Menagerie back in. Let us slot in runes to go after rolls on world drop style weapons we want. Guess crafting is alternative but feels such a slog for process.

I wonder if this is going to make deep dives a headache for everybody for a while- when I did a match-made deep dive (trying to do an actual deep dive, not the exotic quest) a teammate just left after me and the other guy didn't do the quest. I can imagine a lot of folks will be frustrated when the match-made teammates aren't doing what they want to do

I'm eager to do this encounter, but I need to find a couple of people. Just for grins I went into Deep Dive with randoms. One had the clue, one didn't, so that didn't work. Great video BTW.

Trying to solo this mostly melee. Stasis titan running winterbite chill rip and an arc scout with wormgods.

i get it done finally but bro, this boss fight is hard. the time limit is very close. everyone in the team has to know what to do and has to do it fast. to get a specific fish is not a problem, the problem is the boss room, even the room before. (Forerunner and Taipan works great cuz if you run out of ammo with Taipan, and you will, then you have Forerunner as backup)
