ОтветитьThis contradicts the literature and empirical evidence. The biceps are elbow flexors so they’re fully stretched out when your elbows are locked in, thats why when you do partials you should aim to do the bottom half not the top half.
Furthemore, different shoulder positioning is required to fully engage the long and short heads if you’re looking for rounded biceps development.

ОтветитьThat is so out of context. It all depends on the angle of the opposing force which in most cases is gravity, therefore downwards. But if you do incline curls, your biceps will produce least force at a 90 degree angle. Also, your muscles dont grow when they produce the most force, you stimulate your muscles to grow when they are under load in their most stretched position which you cannot achieve with biceps curls because the load will be lowest when your biceps are stretched. Ergo, you stimulate your muscles the most when your arms are behind your back and time under tension in stretched position is best.
Not saying biceps curl wont work, but you are wrong in saying that the biceps will grow the most this way.
Basically. Do what the body builders did in the 80s.

ОтветитьI mean it depends on your goals. If you want to improve eccentric strength and don't necessarily care about size, stretched positions are the way to go. Plus they offer improved mobility gains.
ОтветитьThis literally goes against the general knowledge of how having biceps be either in front of you and behind you puts more focus on long or short head. While its beneficial too also train in the neutral position like showed at the end of this video, to make out that training them in the other two aforementioned position is illogical and will confuse people.

Ответить...loading a muscle at a lengthened position is literally the best way to maximise hypertrophic stimulus, plus it's a more effective way to train the long head of the bicep since it crosses the shoulder joint.
