Do not issue a partial refund ever to Shopify customers because they can still do a chargeback for full amount. Merchants are not protected! I issued a partial refund to a customer for $115 the total purchase amount was $239 customer contacted me prior to me shipping the products and decided against buying one of the products so I issued them a refund a month later they open a charge back for the full amount even though I have already refunded $115. The charge back should’ve been $239 minus the 115 but it came in at $239. Shopify has given me no answers as I have explained to them that this is Considered theft and I will be contacting a lawyer. How can they give the customer back the full amount if I have already given the customer back half of the money? This Hass to be illegal
