Very impressive
Ответитьas a fulltime RVer, I would definitely install one of these.
ОтветитьJust a note, "daemon" is pronounced "demon" and not "damon".
ОтветитьI love the idea of implementing physical buttons and switches alongside the typical touchscreen panel. I have several tablets wall mounted around my house but love the idea of some physical buttons for more common stuff.
ОтветитьWhat a beautiful project. I've dreamed of doing something like this and it's really cool seeing someone actually do it!
ОтветитьBoris, This is epic. How can I reach out to directly? I have an idea for your front panels and would love to discuss it with you.
ОтветитьThis is really nice, I have zero clue with HASS, changed internet supplier last year, which changed my router and therefore IP address which broke every sensor connection my house. Wish I could fix it, tried multiple time connecting a laptop to my switchboard but to no avail 😢
ОтветитьI know absolutely nothing about things like this, but the thumbnail image startled me , because the other night I had a very detailed dream that featured a similar wall control panel . Luckily for my dream self, all the controls were very well labeled, with visual images as well as descriptions of what they controlled. I guess my dream self isn't as much of a technical dunce as my waking self.😂
ОтветитьLoved the video! I’ve been dreaming of making something like this, but don’t really know where to begin. Are you an engineer of some sort by trade or only a hobbyist?
ОтветитьWhy is turning off your water a security concern?
ОтветитьI 777 Love it BRO.. OMG EXACTLY WHAT I BEEN WANTING ALSO... SO ROCKING
ОтветитьActually dude.. would you consider making and selling them bro.. especially if we had different front designs and controls and you make this, outsource to china even make a profit ??
ОтветитьAwesome work!
ОтветитьGorgeous, I must have - Any good groups for recently single guys. I may need one soon.
ОтветитьBro is a real life half life scientist
ОтветитьI love this and like the other commenter I saw, my wife would kill me if I tried :D
ОтветитьAmazing
ОтветитьLooks like the old-school home automation! That's so extremely cool.
ОтветитьI used the wiring from the old security panel to install a Qi charger behind a blank wall plate and put an Amazon Fire 8 Plus there to be the HomeAssistant dashboard.
Already in a central location deemed to be good for home control, constant power but removable and replaceable without dealing with wires if you need to quickly grab a tablet for something.
Sleek and useful - high wife approval factor if she doesn't share the retrotech vibes or if that's just not your thing. I've got a writeup on Reddit if you want to see it! [Wireless Tablet Replacement for Home Security Panel]
Very cool
ОтветитьHow very Chernobyl of you.
ОтветитьThis is peak cool.
Ответитьwow just wow
ОтветитьNice ! I imagine the wife in total panic to find the checklist and guidance to turn on the heating system.
ОтветитьThese people are rare as only so many come back or forward from time, he needs protection
ОтветитьWhat browser container are you using for the kiosk?
Ответить"Mushroom switch! ?????????? You meant, an Emergency STOP button, right?
ОтветитьI am curious about my wife's reaction to the slogan - this will now hang in the hallway :D
ОтветитьTotally impractical, but I do love it, so so much.
ОтветитьIsaac Kleiner
ОтветитьThat mushroom button would be so much fun if someone is taking too long in the shower. It's pretty dope man, nice work.
ОтветитьNot even REMOTELY wife approved.. but so cool nonetheless
ОтветитьGreat project! Love the DEC Mini in the background, I must make one for myself sometime, I love the VT100. Best of luck with your channel.
ОтветитьThis was really cool I had this in my watch later for a week or two and forgot till now, nice video great explanation thanks
ОтветитьImpressive!
ОтветитьSuper cool!
ОтветитьTitle: Home Assistant Control Panel For My Wall
Me: Why does he need to control his wall?? 🤔
What I've seen work really well for embossed labels like yours is to thin some acrylic paint with a (plastic compatible) solvent and then use some 1mL Luer lock syringes and blunt tip dispensing needles to dispense the thinned paint into the groves.
FuzzyLogic did a video on their version of the process titled "3D Print Inlay Lettering".
Very cool! You may want to experiment with using a third party like Send Cut Send to create a cut aluminum panel with engraved labels that you can fill with enamel paint and then sand level. There are lots of videos out there of people restoring old machinery tags -- could be helpful! Von Industrial makes really nice things, "We specialize in one-off and low volume "artware" for machinery restorers, car/boat rebuilders, and OEMs making new equipment."
ОтветитьHilarious! I bet Apple are falling over themselves to get you to join their design team before Facebook beats them to it. Best parody I've seen in ages, well done 🤣
ОтветитьBeautiful work. Great to have everything in one place and good design choices on the control panel. We shared this video on our homemade tool forum last week 😎
ОтветитьHahah dudes controlling a nuclear reactor.
ОтветитьTHIS IS AMAZING!!!! I would pay for this to be installed in my home 100%!!!!!!!! Do you have a card? lol
ОтветитьHe get it....Boris this is an Awesome Product
ОтветитьThis is awesome, man. Someday I hope to be able to build something like this. I don't know if I would ever have something like this for Home Assistant, but I would love to build a control panel for flight simulators or something else. I just want to build things.
ОтветитьVery nice work, I am also currently working on an HMI but more simply with EspHome. However, I would be interested to know why you need two RPIs? Surely one would do the job too?
Ответитьabsolutely amazing! This is a real panel, and has really good UI. I hope that I can reach this level of engineering someday.
Ответитьcoolest thing ever
Ответитьholy megaton nerd nuke
